Our first time trying Pakistani food. It was very flavorful and rich! The staff was very nice and our food wait wasn’t too bad especially since it was busy. The garlic nans are a must to sop any dish. My only complaint, and almost cost a start, is that the dishes don’t come with rice! But over all it’s a new Chico must to go here. The atmosphere is very pleasantly different than most other restaurants.

I came from UC Berkeley. I have tried many Resturant around the Bay, but I have to confess that Sofi’s beat all of them with their hospitality, generosity, and affordability. I ordered Lamb Briyani and Malai Boti Chicken. I didn’t even need to make an effort to chew the meat. It’s literally melt in your mouth. If you are coming to Chico, you must try this restaurant. Hands down

We’ve been wanting to check this place out and glad we did. The atmosphere is pretty cool. Music videos pumping out on the big screen, large comfy chairs, cool decor. We tried the samosas, garlic naan bread, goat curry and chicken tikka masala. The flavors on everything were great. I especially liked the samosas and Tikka, but everything was good.

We ordered 4 different chicken dishes and shared tastes. All were amazing! Sophie served us and was so friendly and welcoming – great service! There are so many lights and tv’s going at the same time – it wasn’t noisy, just a bit much. Love the location and the friendly staff – not to mention the great food!

It was surprising experience. We ordered only samosa and nan, and we asked for heating up goat curry we ordered yesterday. But, the madam served not only goat curry but also chicken curry on house. It was so nice of her and she has regally good character. I definitely come back.

We were very excited to try this spot. We went during the Fri night dinner rush and they were slammed. The owner is a delightful human with a warm presence. Much of their staff were green and in the process of being trained, but kind and courteous. The owner gave us complimentary rice pudding to make up for a slight mix-up with our food. The atmosphere is unlike anything else in Chico, a mix of modern and traditional, and very reflective cultural cross-pollination. The samosas and Daal Tarka were my favorites.

Sofi, the chef and owner herself, came out to check how we were enjoying the food. Would highly recommend the garlic naan! If you’re downtown late in the evening, pop your head in to see if they’re still open- odds are they will serve you. Per Sofi: “Time is for normal people.” Food was impeccable.
