We went to Smitten for Mother’s Day but the kitchen was closed so we tried Sol y Luna nearby. If you’re vegetarian or vegan they have veggie fajitas (for vegan just ask for no cheese if you get refried beans). I verified with the server that the rice and refried beans are vegetarian/vegan.

This is the best Mexican restaurant in Bakersfield. It is one of the classiest restaurants. The servers are top-notch and serve your food in style!

Did a walk in Saturday early evening. Hostess greeted us and sat us immediately. The servers were very attentive took our drink order as soon as we sat down. Our drinks were quick and our dinner orders were taken quickly. The food was delicious. The dessert was the fried Ice Cream and it was good.

Don’t bother making a reservation here. We made a reservation fora group about a month ago, confirmed it two days ago, and arrived to learn that they had given away our table and could no longer accommodate us.

Hands down the best service! The food is delicious and big portions , we took a whole meal home. The waitress was awesome! And the seats were soo comfortable .. check out the bar.. they have a lot of options in drinks . Cozy, comfortable , and good food.. is there a 10 star rating?

The food here is fantastic! They have a large menu to choose from, and everything is fresh! They are able to accommodate most dietary restrictions. The service here was good as they made to sure to check on you often.

The chicken Fajita is either raw or burnt. Last 2 visits there was no taste in the fajita and we decided to try again and they gave us fajita with burnt onions and old avocado. When I informed the waiter, he said this is how it should be made. Next time, If you don’t want it tell us that leave it raw and not to cook too much. I don’t know why my husband took me there again. Just don’t want to go back unless they change their cook.

The food was food, but the service was pretty awful. We were there for almost two hours but spent the majority of the time just waiting for the waiter to come to us to take the order, check on us so we could ask for refills, by the time they came back after delivering food we informed them they hadn’t brought all the food but at that point we were all done eating and they didn’t even apologize. Very disappointed.

Do not come here if you have a large party. Our usual Mexican restaurant we go to (Don Pericos), the chips and salsa is never empty. It took us multiple times to get any chips and salsa. It is severally understaffed. Luckily the food was good. But we played a waiting game THE WHOLE TIME. No offense on the staff, they did their best, but the management needs to crack down. Also the prices are RIDICULOUS! 125$ for 2 people? I had enchiladas and my fiance had a fish plate. With 3 drinks. No way it should have been so much. Ok food, horrible service, stupid prices.

Absolutely delicious food, and an all around beautiful dinner experience! The staff is so friendly and kind, the ambience is incredible! The enchiladas de suizas were so good and the Nutella cheesecake was delicious! 10/10 would recommend!
