My steak tacos were very good but the rest of the family’s food was only so so. Service was adequate but didn’t seem happy to be there. The place sure could use a deep cleaning to bring it up to average.

Needed a place on a Sunday night when other restaurants in town were overbooked or already closed. The food was fantastic and most of our drinks were great. We did have a very odd Paloma that didn’t have any grapefruit and I’m not sure what else it did have. Lol the service was fast but they didn’t seem excited to see us show up but perhaps it had just been a long day for them.

Chips came out to table you could smell the rancid old chips when they set them down. We had already ordered at this point so we stayed and the guy that set them down had zero personality when I said thank you with a smile. Our dinner showed smelled ok so we both ate. When I asked waitress to take away chips as they smelled and taste old and rancid she just looked at me and didn’t say anything like she was confused. I can safely say that was a once and done. We will not be returning.

Delicious! Eaten here several times and it’s been amazing every time! I really enjoy the Fajitas and the Tacos al Pastor! The chicken soup and the Hot salsa are perfect for when you’re feeling under the weather. Pictures are the chicken soup and quesodilla fajita mix lunch (it’s huge!) And the Tacos al pastor

Please don’t mop your floors while several tables are occupied by diners. The smell of the deodorizer is offensive. The dirty dishes and garbage bussed by staff shouldn’t be left near diners and the entrance/exit of the restaurant. Bar area was covered with silverware being wrapped. It was messy. With three Hispanic restaurants in Newton, you should do all you can to encourage patrons to return. The food was hot, and the service was good.

Great food! Service lacked a bit this time but usually spot on. Great patio.

Marginal, but standard, Mexican fare. If you order anything they can’t plop on the plate in the shape of rice, beans, or tacos… You’re rolling the dice.

Nicely decorated and we got a table right away. Food came very quickly. Unfortunately, that’s all the good things I can say. I ordered a burrito and taco combo. I received an enchilada and taco. The beans had enough salt to cure a ham. I finished my drink half way through the meal and was never offered a refill. In fact, after the food was delivered nobody even checked on us once. We sat there for ten minutes after finishing waiting for the check until I asked for it. I’d be more understanding if everyone was busy, but the crew walked by us I don’t know how many times while chit chatting with people at the bar.

Was here around 6 tonight, food was okay. Fast yes but microwaved also yes !! All the plates were unnaturally hot. The staff was attentive but pushy. The older heavy set man kept eye balling our big table to the point of making it uncomfortable . If you are going to stare that hard at least smile. Overall poor experience this place has plummeted by far the worst Mexican food in Newton Ia.
