Great food and quick service. Very impressed with the authentic flavor. Chorizo egg plate was delicious and the Horchata was refreshing.

Quick, polite service. Food came out quickly and was fresh and hot. They have delicious red/green sauces that they offer for free with food purchase. The carne asada fries were amazing. They only accept cash currently but there is an ATM at the 7/11 convenience store next door.

Sombrero made me so happy today! I live in IB and, honestly, though we live 5 miles from the border, there are very few decent taco shops here. Sombrero knows how to make a good chimichanga, and honored my request for extra veggies. Equally important, their salsa is really good, perfect flavor and heat. I loved my lunch, now I know where to go!

Ordered a carne aside burrito. Small portions for the price. Overly salted and can definitely get better even a few blocks away. Proximity to the beach saves it from a lower rating. Go elsewhere if you can.

The food there is sitting for a long time. Frys in the oil until you order then they dip it oil again to make it hot. Staff is nice but the food is disgraceful. The worst Mexican food in Imperial Beach.

This is my favorite Mexican place in San Diego. It’s not flashy, but it’s been serving me perfect San Diego style Mexican food since 2006. They make things a little more authentic here; iirc they’re not owned by the person who owns all the other locations. Definitely get the California burrito with picante salsa. It will brighten your day ☺️
