I kept driving past this place as it stayed on the sign under new ownership. It was very mid the first time before the ownership. So i was expecting above mid when it says its under new ownership cuz I have had some bussin food from other Sonics before. So I got home and unwrapped the grilled cheese. Weirdly it was not cut in half but still tasted decent enough without that slice. Secondly, I pull out the burger and oh lord. There went my appetite and please see the picture attached to know why.

I would have preferred hot fresh tots. I did come close to closing time. 2 stars for food because going above and beyond gets a 5 star rating regardless of the time. Closing was 10pm I arrived at 9:30pm. The young lady who delivered my order was very pleasant. She made eye contact ad soon as she opened the door and had a big smile. Very welcoming thank you.

Food really good this time around! The half price super Sonic burger that day was awesome and hot. I think the server there name Jason I think, great kid! To be so young he was so friendly! Pure heart and refreshing to have an eager ready to serve vibe really made my day at this location! He made sure I got everything I needed like napkins, sauces and smiling too and he didn’t have to do this, I’m so impressed! He went above and beyond! I usually avoid this location because in the past the servers very rude, but this time changed my mind. Highly recommend!

The drinks and treats are always great on a hot day. I wish they had a drive thru. Did you know quick service restaurants tend to have >70% higher annual unit volume when they have a drive thru? Seems like it would be a worthy upgrade.

HIRING NEW MANAGER!!! Hindsight. 1st time coming to this location. Should have read the reviews but it is closest to our house on the way home from a 12 hour trip. pushed the red button waited 25 minutes and the “we will be with you soon” went away. went inside and spoke to the manager, he said sorry your booth doesn’t work, move to another booth. when i got back to the car, the lady was on the speaker trying to take our order. i said the first item, silence. then she says, is that all? went thru the same repetitive attitude for all 8 items. order, silence, is that all? and repeat. Common sense to acknowledge you heard the person on the other side. before the last item she rang up the order and i wasn’t even done ordering. had to keep hitting the red button to tell them I needed to order more. and then finally after ordering. another 25 minutes had gone by. the entire time we were there we seen 15-20 cars come in and out. 3x on both sides of our car. manager and staff was rude, slow, and we never got our order. It all starts from the top. recommend to CHANGE THE MANAGER!!. all it was drinks and ice cream. I didn’t know it took so long to scoop ice cream and pour a few drinks. Ended up at HEB with a $10 gallon ice cream and it only took us 3 minutes, in and out vs a $60 order we never got. Glad we didn’t wait another hour.

Went there tonight waited 25 minutes for a small-ish order. My husband ordered a double bacon meal, no drink, received just the burger. The “manager” Rachel was extremely rude and rushy with a horrible attitude. I asked the car hop if the lady taking orders (Rachel) was okay and she said she just had a long day I guess. We work in the food industry so we get it, really, we do. But to talk to customers (humans) this was is not okay in the slightest, especially considering the fact we were talking to her nicely. I feel bad for the workers there, We know what it’s like to work with a manager that has an attitude like that. We will not return to this location even tho it’s closer to our home.

Tator tots were cold and hard cheese onto was hard again like it had been melted on them hours ago and left under heat lamp b4 serving. I asked for onions on my cheese tots and coffee cream for my slush but got neither. Ah well Sonic used to rock back when I worked there. If you want any thing done right you HAVE to do it yourself.
