Cute, fast-casual Italian spot serving homemade dishes. We ordered their Sub, Sonny’s House Salad, and Soup of the Day (which was Cream of Broccoli). Everything was made-to-order. Their Cream of Broccoli Soup was different than others, not as creamy but just right, and their Sub was huge, not doused in oil or vinaigrette. Salad and Soup come with a side of fresh Italian bread and butter. Will definitely be back to try out their Pizzas and other offerings!

Just really good fresh food with quality ingredients! Every time I go I get the Hot Italian Beef and Large chopped salad. The salad comes with fresh bread and butter. You can’t beat the prices for the quality product. Also they have a cute indoor and outdoor seating area.

Went to Sonny’s to pick up some pizza and gnocchi. The interior of the restaurant is very small. 5 tables total, only two of which will seat more than 2 people. The counter where you order is less than 6 feet from the front door, so if you go at a busy time, people are all jammed up against one another just trying to order their food. The food itself was good. Gnocchi were tasty and the pizza was advertised as “New York Style.”. Having grown up in NYC, this pizza was definitely not that, but it was still good. I would recommend for take out but not to eat in unless you don’t mind the closeness.

Got the Italian sub, good dressing but that’s about it. There is more bread and lettuce than anything else, check out the side view of the sandwich. I think Subway puts more meat on thier sandwiches… If you enjoy bread with Italian dressing and a couple slices of lunch meat this place is you you!

Really, really good pizza. I like the thickness of the New York style. The crust is tasty, sauce is fresh, and cheese is delicious. Also, Sonny’s Chopped Salad is the best salad in Park Ridge. I get it with Mozzarella instead of Gorgonzola. I loved this place for lunch but now find it great for dinner take out for the family. Eventually, I will try the pasta dishes but I’m thoroughly addicted to the pizza and salad. Well done!
