I went in, very unsure with the place I first came on Juneteenth but they were sadly closed. Came back about a week afterwards and ordered the chicken and waffles. The waffles were good; in my opinion the chicken was outstanding. A very rich subtle sweet flavor that really went with the waffles. Great atmosphere a companied with great service.

Tried this place for the first time and it was pretty good and I feel was worth the money. I got chicken and waffles and it’s one of the best I’ve tried in the Rockford area so far. I also got a side of fries and even though it might not look like a lot of food, I left the place stuffed.

Our food was terrible. French toast was NOT fresh & was-dry. I don’t know how my eggs were made but they looked weird & didn’t look scrambled. Never paid $12 for shrimp and grits served in a card board SMALL container. Not worth $12 AT ALL . My friend & I being the only 2 customers in this place with the ONLY 3 employees standing in the front who were looking at us the whole time; didn’t even acknowledge us leaving. Not a have a nice day or anything. Will NOT be returning ever!!

Good food and atmosphere. My husband had the wings and fries. I had the shrimp and grits. Yummy. We were able to talk with the legendary Mr. Sonny Crudup. Very pleasant man. I ran into people that I hadn’t seen in years.

Visited on a rainy Sunday so not many ppl there food was Great! We wasn’t greeted upon arrival initially. However Me and my wife enjoyed having a Chef come to the table asking was everything good and we definitely complemented his efforts for doing that. Chef Lawrence was superb and his kindness speaks volumes. Great Restaurant will be back soon.

Great food and service. My only issue was the plastic silverware that couldn’t cut the delicious crusty biscuits. Also better hot sauce choices would be nice. Crystal or Tabasco please.

Waited forever to get our food. There were 5 people “working”! I won’t be back. I can make my own biscuits & sausage gravy from scratch in the time it took to get my order. I really wanted this place to succeed, but not sure how it will with such poor service.

Music good! No Good Morning!!! Welcoming us in. How was your food? Thank you for your business. Lots of staff!!! Displays empty. Maybe some coffee while you wait!!! Arrived at 9:15, short BK served by 10:15. Food cold tasted good. French Toast had good flavor! Where do you get your bacon???? Good flavor!!! Then value for a tip for service!!!
