First time there and we will be back, the egg rolls were on point. The sweet n sour chicken was good eventhough it was a bit gelatin like and different but overall we enjoyed dinner, recommended at least a try!

The lady that was at the window was beyond sweet! That was my only good experience tho.. the inside is very ran down (as most of these joints are) but the food was overly priced and wasn’t pleasing whatsoever.. my food tasted like dish soap and the duck sauce had a serious wierd taste I’ve never experienced.. I definitely wouldn’t try anything else unfortunately

First time trying this place! I ordered the sweet and sour chicken combo( comes with fried rice and egg roll). Food is pretty good, I’d only suggest them putting the sauce on the side because it is clearly drenched in sauce . The egg roll was okay. And the sweet and sour taste more like orange chicken. But The lady at the front wasss very niceeee!!!

Cash and carry restaurant. Great food, excellent almond chicken, fried rice is great especially with extra onions and veggies. The gravy is very tasty and highlights almost everything. I also like the egg foo young. I’ve never had a bad experience there.

This used to be my go to place for Chinese food, but the prices have gotten ridiculous. Yesterday, I ordered 1 quart of almond boneless chicken, 1 quart shrimp fried rice, and 4 egg rolls…total bill was $35…ouch.

Honestly, the hostess was delightful! A sweet little lady with a very bubbly disposition. With that being said, this was my first time ordering here. The Mongolian Beef was pretty good. The sweet and sour chicken was very bland, definitely the most bland I have ever had in the city. I’m pretty sure the chicken fried rice comes from the Costco frozen food isle (not even joking)….and the eggrolls….Idk if they used old ingredients or resold old eggrolls or what, but they definitely tasted tainted or something…like it was cooked in a super dirty pot or something. It looked all dirty grayish (nothing like I’ve ever seen before in an eggroll) on the inside and tasted like a dirty rag. Maybe that’s just how they do it. Idk. I was overall not satisfied.

I’ve been coming to Soon Lee for 15 years since I was in high school, it was amazing and perfectly priced then and the owner, the woman whose name I’ve never learned, was so nice and friendly and just a genuine pleasure every time we went in. I recently moved back and everything is better than I remember. Their egg rolls are top tier – exactly what you think of when you want an egg roll. Really, that’s true of everything on the menu. There are real vegetables in every single dish, not on the side and not just broccoli. Just expect an extra wait time and be kind because it’s clearly just the owner and maybe one other person in the back running the whole restaurant and they’re just amazing. Soon Lee is literally what you want from a Chinese place.
