We have been 3 times. The service is amazing. Complimentary valet in the front, greeted at the door, they recognize special events like anniversaries or graduations. In regards to the service department they are on point. I feel like the food is 3/5 though. We have tried the grilled octopus, not much flavor. The wedge salad, not much flavor (they use blue cheese dressing instead of actual blue cheese). The burger, not much flavor. The spicy chicken sandwich was good however. I’ll admit we haven’t tested the signature items on the menu, but judging from the items we did order I don’t have the confidence to try the heftier items. I feel like they excel in the service and ambiance department, but as far as flavor I’ve had much better. Probably won’t be back.

It was our anniversary and the staff went out of their way to make it special. We had a huge booth. They gave us complimentary champagne. The steaks were yummy as were the salad and the creamed spinach.

Over all this restaurant is excellent. The service was good minus the waiter did not pay attention to my steak order and overcooked a perfectly amazing steak. The atmosphere there and the rest of the food amazing.

I have been wanting to try Sophia’s for a couple years now but never got around to it – until now. It was my birthday so seemed like the perfect opportunity to splurge. I didn’t make a reservation because it’s Thursday – but they are so popular they were full and we almost got turned away – but the lovely host and hostess somehow squeezed us in. We had mocktails to start, and then a beautiful porterhouse steak and two sides: the cream spinach (amazing) and the Brussels sprouts (also fantastic). We ordered the steak medium rare but it came out closer to rare. We didn’t mind it and the meat was tasty and juicy. It came with two sauces as well, bernaise and the house sauce, both were great condiments to the steak. The service was friendly and professional. I’ll be happy to be back and try more of their cuts and menu items as well as their wine and cocktail list some day.

While looking for a good steakhouse in the northern suburbs we came across Sophia’s. Great 1st time experience. The service was pleasant and timely. Atmosphere is good. But the best part was the food! We had picked the Porterhouse Steak and what a great choice it was. Prepped exactly how we wanted it, we’ll seasoned with delicious choice of sides and sauces. Appetizers were very tasty. And desert did not disappoint either. This place certainly gets my vote. And if you decide to go, make a reservation. Even though the place is pretty big, it fills up very fast

Sophia Steak House team creates almost a magical experience for their visitors. From the moment we were welcomed the first question was what kind of experience are we looking for. In the rooms covered in dark and mysterious wood we enjoyed an attentive service, carefully prepared dishes and drinks. My partner took me her to celebrate my birthday and it was beyond my expectations. We live in the City and felt like venturing out a bit and we were not disappointed. The manager Annette’s attention to detail made us both feel special and you could tell she loves her job. We should all love what we do. Management even printed a menu just for me! Our server Jackie was fantastic with great recommendations. She even laughed at my jokes. Their hospitality was matched with a warm ambiance and perfectly cooked steak. Lobster appetizer on point. Thank you for such a great birthday meal and experience. Recommend reservations because on a Monday they were poppin’!
