Downtown Alpharetta’s newest culinary adventure is authentically Italian. We enjoyed dinner there on a Thursday evening and had a wonderful experience. These folks try hard to please. The food speaks for itself but the customer service shines! We were only able to try a few dishes but I wouldn’t hesitate to order all of them again. We started off with the Veal Meatballs. Four to an order, they were light and fluffy and served with a home made pomodoro sauce, grated grana padano cheese and a sprinkling of some type of gremolata that added a bright, fresh flavor and a bit of texture. We also tried the artichoke hearts with limoncello dipping sauce. They arrived hot, and perfectly fried without being oily. They were served topped with a sprinkling of grated cheese and another crunchy gremolata. As for pasta, we had the Pappardella. It’s topped with both a short rib bolognese AND a pistachio béchamel. Are these sauced mixed together? Are they layered separately? Who knows and who cares because the resulting dish was a plate full of wonderfully balanced deliciousness. The cheesy, creamy, savory fat ribbons of perfectly cooked fresh pappardelle are also topped with grilled scallions, pickled celery (just a touch) and Parmiano-Reggiano.

Food was great. The octopus was tender, the asparagus and artichoke appetizers were very tasty. Papardella and ravioli were very flavorful and Francesco was a super staffer. You have to go if you haven’t been there yet.

I can’t speak for others, but music was not loud, and food was exceptional. A great addition to the Alpharetta group of Italian restaurants. ALL pasta is freshly made. We started with the octopus which was incredibly tender and well prepared. We both ordered a Primi. I got the pappardella, short rib bolognese, pistachio béchamel, grilled scallions, pickled celery, reggiano and my wife ordered the SPAGHETTI ALLA CHITTARA – bottarga, grated farm egg, fennel, grana padana, breadcrumbs. Both were very well prepared and delicious. Wine selection is quite extensive also. A nice change from the couple old worlds, and then all cabs and merlots. My pet peeve for Altlanta Italian. I can’t say to disregard the few bad reviews, but maybe an off day. Our experience was fantastic. We didn’t it get a secondi since we were meeting friends after and we we full! Next visit for sure.

The food was excellent! Started with the octopus and carpaccio, both were probably the best versions of those appetizers I’ve ever had! The octopus was done especially well. Finished with the Filet which was also very good. Service was great, can’t wait to go back.

We tried this place on a whim after a terrible experience down the street at LaPeer, and we we were pleasantly surprised with how lovely this location is! We sat at the bar and had cocktails/wine/carpaccio, octopus, bolognese, and Cacio e Pepe. All phenomenal dishes! The bartended was so personable and friendly and attentive. It is a more formal spot for the family friendly downtown Alpharetta but I plan to return !

What can I say but wow. Way exceeded my expectations. We started off with the carpaccio which was phenomenal. We also had the artichoke hearts which was paired with a sauce which was perfectly balanced. Also had the asparagus which once again was just like wow I didn’t expect this – the complexity and flavor was totally not what I expected but we were so pleasantly surprised. I could go on and on. Everything was perfect including the wine pairings. Honestly one of my favorite dining experiences as long as I can remember I’m still on a total food high from the experience as I write this.

There is an old song, whose first words are ” Their writing songs of love, but not for me” ..The restaurant was slightly disappointing. Many will consider it good, and it might even get better as it matures. Wait staff was a little off, but not horribly. The kitchen was fast, which saved the food from off tempo meal servings. 3/4 of the way through our appetizer , we realized , they hadn’t taken our main plate order so I asked a passerby to find our waiter. The presentation of the food was very good, and so was the wine selection. However the taste of the mains, as a consensus, by all 4 at the table, was not explosive, or of the level that was going to win this establishment a “we must come back here” . The ambience and wine selection was good, except for the music, which we were told was to give the establishment a more modern feel. The music was a little too loud (everyone kept asking waiter to repeat himself) , and the genre boarded on Rap/Jungle with heavy drum sounds and unrecognizable songs. We got an apology /rationalization for their choice from the owner. Therefor it indicated , he thought it was right for his place. My initial thought is, some will like this place, but for us, it is still a miss as a great Italian Restaurant in Ga. But put it on you “Lets Try It” list. The end was less of a great experience, when the waiter returned with our check , saying I didn’t put my credit card in the leather folder. But after a while they found it somewhere near the payment stand.
