Owning a restaurant is difficult. When we went inside the music was Metallica and not what you expect on a Sunday morning for brunch. We were then greeted by Armando who was our waiter. Armando didn’t seem to be having a good day and it did not seem to be very responsive or check on us throughout the meal. The great part about the restaurant is the food. I’m not sure who’s cooking it but I want them to come live at my house. The interior design was really nice I love the mural on the side of the wall. The rock videos just didn’t match what you would expect.

from the outside it looked like a place worth a try. At 1 in the afternoon they said they didn’t have rice, hung out for 30 minutes to wait for the rice that was “in progress”. Turns out it was never in progress of being made left without wasting more time there. Coffee was good though.

What an amazing dining experience!! The food was absolutely delicious and so fresh!! To my surprise, I recognized 2 of their servers (they came from another restaurant that I used to go – what an ASSET to this place!!! ) and their service was OUTSTANDING! Thank you Yvonne and Nory for your wonderful service and for educating me about your delicious menu. This place is so clean, elegant and the ambiance is so so great! Congratulations for bringing to Polk County such as amazing concept!! A new spot to support for sure! Bendiciones!

There chicken had very small bone pieces, which i had to be very careful when eating. The chicken had feathers still on it. The drinks was not too fresh at all. The cashier server did not have any cash change in the drawer, so we can even leave a tip. The music was extremely loud, and there was another TV show in the background. Not sure we will go back. Plus parking really sucks.

We went on opening day around 2pm. The place has a modern, familiar, and cozy atmosphere. The staff is super friendly. We were served by young man. As a courtesy of the house he served us potato soup, so that we could try the soup of the day. My husband ordered the San Benedict and I ordered the Tripleta. Delicious both dishes! Then we ordered Pancake Cajeta. This dish is super delicious. The sauce is so rich that you don’t need to add anything else. We also order natural passion fruit and soursop juices. These natural juice flavors took me back to my childhood years in my beloved PR. Already making plans to return this week to order the Desayuno Burrito, the BLT Avocado Toast, and of course the natural juices! If you want to eat in a cozy place where the attention, the service, and the food is the best, then I recommend you go to Sorrel!

I can say that we finally found a Puerto Rican food place that is worth it. The queso frito was, ropa vieja, mofogo, and churrasco were delicious. I really recommend it.
