This place is so cute! The ambiance is different in every room, it’s clean, the service is amazing, and most of all…..the food I had the jerk chicken, my husband the fish, and daughter the Mac and cheese and we all loved it. It was flavorful, and you can tell they’ve been cooking for a long time because the seasonings in every meal were perfect! We will absolutely return!!!!

Love this place! I went in twice already and both times the food, cocktails and service was phenomenal. Favorite dish was the Jerk Chicken and favorite drink was the Rum Punch. Decor is beyond anything I’ve seen in Petersburg. Definitely recommend. I’ll be going back for sure!

First off this place is WHOLE VIBE! This lounge gives a grown and sexy feel. The areas are all themed and have some amazing murals that give all the feels. I loved the DJ, the music was on point. Let’s talk food….Babyyyyyyy them HONEY OLD BAY WINGS!! Get them!!! They had had me in a chokehold! That fried fish and jerk wings was something else too… I will definitely be back for them! Drinks were top tier and very pretty. This place is great for all types of events because of it size.. you can really spread out. I can not wait to go back, truly a VIBE!

I have visited the Sōshel Bistro twice. The ambience is perfect! The dim lights, great music, and spectacular atmosphere make this a fun, enjoyable and relaxed environment were you can socialize with friends. The alcoholic beverages and food were delicious! I had the Island fried shrimp as an appetizer followed by the fried fish, Mac & cheese and cabbage! Food was well seasoned and the presentation was great! The staff is very friendly and attentive! I’m looking forward to returning soon!

Food is great atmosphere is incredible. Wait staff and bartenders very patient, friendly and professional. Those honey old bay wings oh my God! You have to try them.. The hookah lounge is relaxing and colorful nothing like I’ve ever experienced before. I would recommend them to everyone. Come through and enjoy your weekend at soshel bistro

My personal experiences…I love the atmosphere. Food is a bit pricey for the quantity but the prices keep the trouble away so its a safe spot to chill especially for Petersburg Va lol. The service is definitely subpar at best. But for a man looking for a variety of woman this is for you. It’s always 15 woman to 1 man ratio . Enjoy

So today was the 2nd time we returned to Soshel for Brunch. Today was a big disappointment. I know some may say well why didn’t we leave , we arrived at 125pm we were seated right away and it was a party of 8 of us less than 10. The area we were seated at was not busy at all. 1st warning sign we waited approx 25 min before our drink order was taken. We orders 6 mimosas and 2 non alcoholic beverages. Welllllll almost 45 minutes went by and we were still waiting for our beverages and we had water but the pitchers were empty. Soo after waiting 45 minutes ,our food order still had not been taken. Eventually the order for it was taken , Our server was between us , the opposite side and sometimes no where to be found. Others came in after us and waited less than 30 minutes and received drinks and food, and they were a party of 4. We were at our table for almost 2 hours and still no food and no refill on the water because the alcoholic beverages were sent back due to them being hot, so it’s no telling how long they were sitting at the bar. When we were finally able to express our frustration to the owner it felt as if it was a dismissive response and not really a concern. The food was up and ready not sure if it was ours or not but my concern was with our server who did not appear to be to concerned with how we were feeling . I love to support our own and love a good atmosphere but I can honestly say today was the last time I will be back. If the servers are not sure how to properly maintain without becoming overwhelmed then they need to either be retrained or ask for help . I was extremely disappointed 2.5 hours waisted. Some adjustments need to be made if Sunday is a busy day for the short time you all are open .

Sōshel Bistro exhibits a great atmosphere, full of aesthetically pleasing, instagram worthy sections, delicious food, well mixed drinks, hookah and the DJ really set the vibe! The jerk chicken and honey old bay wings are fire! Can’t wait to try their brunch!

The Jerk chicken was on point! We also had the fried fish and shrimp which did not disappoint! I will be returning to try the curry chicken! Great atmosphere as well! Definitely recommend!!
