Stopped by during lunch to try a Soul Bowl. The service was timely & friendly. However, the small space makes it crowded & hot while waiting for your order. I, unfortunately received someone else’s order but didn’t have time to go back & correct it. The meal was still very good & flavorful. It was a nice busy vibe overall & Id give them another try.

I got the Fried Chicken, Krack n Cheese, Cabbage, Yams & Soul Rice. It was so good! It was fresh and every thing was cooked perfectly. I traveled 1hr for this and I would 10/10 do it again.

so my soul bowl was so rice, chicken crack cheese and it was supposed to be color greens but they didn’t have color greens so they gave me cabbage. Everything was good for me. The only thing was the cabbage was a tad bit too salty. And also it was extremely packed inside in a small space so I stayed in my car.

I found out about this spot from reading a review for another restaurant in another city. Once I checked out the reviews and saw that they were good, my family and I decided to take the forty minute drive from New Haven to give them a try. Omg they did not disappoint! The food was so good as well as the customer service! I live in South Florida and a place like this would be perfect because we don’t really have any soul food spots in my city. Definitely worth the money and drive.

We got takeout for our family of five and every bowl was fantastic! Also try the Soul Rolls – like an egg roll but filled with their “Krack & Cheese” and candied yams. Delicious! This place is a hidden gem.

Our visit to Soul Bowl was spontaneous. Passing through on a schedule I wasn’t syre we’d time to stop but the staff proved to be quick and the food damn good! It’s definitely worth stopping for. Keep in mind city parking can be tricky and there’s no seating. Only take-out. Do it and find a place to indulge and feed the soul!

This is a take out restaurant. But food is 10 on 10. The young lady at the front desk was superb. Very helpful, sweet and knowledgeable about the menu. If I’m ever back in Hartford Connecticut definitely making a stop here. I’m very glad about my decision. I only wish there were inside seating

Going on a weekday was so nice, fast service and a hot fresh meal for dinner. The guys in the restaurant are really nice and helpful when trying to decided which sides to choose and offering great opinions. The bowls are so good, the mac n cheese is delicious as well as the yams. Really nice home style meal for when you’re in a rush.
