We got chicken, cabbage, and sweet potatoes, and .a pork chop, mac and cheese, and mashed potatoes. It was later at night, but the chicken was dry! Nice people, decent price, mostly a to go place..!

I don’t know who are writing these reviews but, I came here for the first time and I regret it. I ordered whiting dinner and it taste fishy and way over cooked. I also ordered fried chicken and it was just ok. I ordered Polish sausage with fries and when I bit into polish hotdog not actually sausage, it was nasty!!!!. It taste freezer burned and old. I took one bite and through the rest away. Not to mention the small amount of fries that was included. Over all not good. Never again. But the people were really nice. That’s for sure.

I enjoyed the food very much. Cooked exactly like soul food is supposed to be. Soul food is supposed to remind you of home, hospitality and happy feelings. There are a lot of restaraunts who claim to specialize in soul food and yet, the taste just isn’t there. This is not the case at Soul Food Dining. They take great pride in delivering to customers what they expect, down home southern soul food taste. Next time I’m in Louisville, KY, I’m going back there….

Everything tasted BLAND or unseasoned but EVERYTHING was very good, probably because people with high blood pressure or whatever. But I support black owned businesses, the lady was very nice and the business was very clean!!! Gave her an extra 10 dollar tip. I absolutely love this place! Soul food it is. Me and my fiancee eat about everywhere in louisvile and these ladys know what they are doing in the kitchen!! Best greens in louisvile. I would eat them daily. Ribs was delicious and tender, corn bread fresh, so thumbs up from me!! Thanks ladies!! Best homemade greens o have ever ate in 42 years!! Highly recommend people to try this place out!!

My husband and I placed two orders, one order didn’t have the side on it, not only when I called back to let them know, the lady delivered it to me, not only is their food delicious, they are the most courteous people I ‘ve met. Believe this, not only will continue to eat there, I will let all of my friends know about SOUL FOOD, Thanks you guys! Almost forgot to mention their dinner portions are so much, you can’t eat them in one setting . I had to save some.

This Soul Food restaurant usually has a variety of entrees and sides, as well as a choices for dessert. The Smothered Pork Chops are delicious, and so is the Roast Beef. I enjoy the cabbage, the greens, the dressing and both the sweet potatoes and mashed potatoes with gravy. The Caramel Cake’s good, too!
