Finally got a chance to try this place. I decided to place an order for pickup through one of the restaurant apps. I ordered the Crawfish Etouffee over rice, Fried Catfish, green beans and potato salad. The green beans and catfish were pretty good. While the Etouffee was just a bland mess over sticky rice. The potato salad actually had a decent flavor but was chunky which I’m not a fan of. The lady working the register was really nice.

I ordered from this place and ate here and thought the food was good originally. My last two orders have been disastrous. The meatballs were too spicy compared to the first time I had them where they seem perfect. Yesterday was horrible I ordered rice dressing and the rice dressing tastes like it had been refrigerated for 2 days or more basically it tasted old and the barbecue chicken had a wood taste to it like it was also old or not bbq at all. I was actually sick the next day. I didn’t want to blame it on the food but it’s the only thing I had ate I really hope that you guys are not serving old food because that can be horrible for anyone’s health. I was not satisfied with my plate yesterday for lunch the rice dressing was old The barbecue chicken definitely tasted like it was old

This was my first time trying their food. Went through the drive through around 1pm on a Thursday. I didn’t have to wait long for food, 10mins tops from order to getting food. I got the smothered porkchops with collard greens, and Mac & cheese. Let me just tell y’all, it was bomb! That pork chop with the sauce is so flavorful. Mac was creamy with a rich cajun kick to it and the collard greens were nicely seasoned. Overall I would definitely get this again and looking forward to trying their other menu items.

First time trying this place and they made a TERRIBLE first impression. Ordered through DoorDash. I got the Fried Pork chop combo and my girlfriend got the Shrimp Etouffee and fried catfish combo. Order showed up and there was no pork chop in my to-go plate y’all. I don’t know how you forget the main part of the dish but if there was an issue with it being sold out we should’ve been made aware. We received no call or text. On top of that, my girlfriends etouffee was much too spicy, breading on the catfish did not stick well at all, Mac and cheese tasted of processed cheese and over seasoned, and her corn had a brownish tint to it. I will say I did not eat the other things that came with my order, as I was extremely disappointed and DoorDash gave us a credit that I will use for dinner from elsewhere.

If you’re looking for some great soul food in the Lafayette area this establishment is spot on! I ordered the red beans and rice (it has sausage and pork neck bones cooked within the red beans) combo meal and paired it up with collard greens and mac & cheese and they offer hearty portions. In my opinion, the collard greens stole the show…they literally melted in my mouth! The staff is very welcoming, helpful with any questions about the menu, and are veteran friendly. I can’t wait to visit again!
