I wasn’t a fan of the Mac& Cheese or sweet potato pie but the greens, fried liver, and chicken wings were definitely good. You get your bang for your buck. Soul Kitchen is takeout only no dine-in. The prices are average. Parking not to bad. The location made it easy to find the restaurant because it was on the corner. Customer service was ok. Y’all, everything is hand made and fresh, not from cans. I seen one of the cooks cutting up some fresh green beans. I will be back because the menu looks good.

I always used Doordash to order my lunch and continue on my job to avoid the long wait. Unfortunately, I ordered for the first time since early July due to technical difficulties with the app. I put my order in as usual, came 10min later and said the order didn’t come through. They could’ve called or text me before my arrival and that costed 15min of my lunch break including reimbursement of my order.

I just moved to DC. This was my 1st time visiting this place & it wasn’t disappointing. I ordered the turkey wings w/ Mac & cheese and yams. My mom ordered chicken w/collard greens & yams. I didn’t care for the mac at all, but everything else was tasty. The mac was a little to loose for my liking.

Sometimes, I order the ribs. A few times, they were great. The last two times, the ribs were too tough. I could not chew them. I had to throw them out. If they took the time to boil the ribs just soft enough to fall off the bone, people would flock just for the ribs. That’s my only complaint.

I ordered a cheese burger & two dinners. The cheese burger was hard & burnt. I asked to have less onions & more noodles in my lomein the cashier told me I can’t pick & choose its mixed up. I feel if I’m paying my money I should get what I want ! I told him this place has fallen off he responded no we have not fallen off. I won’t be returning.

I finally stepped in here since I wanted to taste their fried chicken I’ve heard about and ordered a 4-piece Wings w/ Fries. The wings are cooked fresh, they were pretty damn tasty (not greasy) , and the fries were good & seasoned just right!!!#GootEats

Much better when it was Golden Skillet owned by the Koreans. I ordered a baked chicken dinner w/fried rice & greens. The greens were recommended by the worker & flavorless. I asked to sample a meatball. I gave a $2 tip for a meatball sample. Only to arrive at my destination and realize all meatballs were given. I called & went back immediately. They corrected my order and still no meatball sample, partially pleased! The baked chicken is a lil slimey & pink and the cabbage taste like water. The rice is the best part. Veggies need a lil salt&pepper. This is a lil embarrassing to be considered soul food
