the food is so so. the fried chicken could have fried longer. the skin was not crispy. the same for the perch. both were kind of watery like the meats had been soaking right before. the yams were good but mushy. the string beans were good. the cashier was kind. the price for 3 meals was acceptable, though, a larger piece of fish would have been better. i may visit again to try something else tho.

Today was their grand opening, so things were a bit slow. But the food was fresh and piping hot! Hubby & the daughter liked their cheeseburgers & fresh cut fries. I liked my mac n cheese & “snack pack” – 4 wings and fries. The taste was good, I was a little disappointed with the ranch not being homemade tho. And I would like to see more flavor/sauces for the wings. Prices were great!

My family and I dined in. There was a saxophonist there, the music was lovely. We ordered the family meal which was wings and 4 sides. Hands down the chicken wings were delicious! Unfortunately the sides were single servings and were way too small. The waitress was new but worked really hard during a Friday night rush. There was a major delay on the Mac and cheese which caused us to eat our meal without it. The owners came to apologize and discounted our meal. Overall we would definitely go again. We enjoy live music so that was a major plus.

Ordered fried smothered pork chops with greens and fried okra – everything was delicious. Macaroni is great! My husband enjoyed the wing plate as well. We will definitely be back. Only item for feedback is maybe the young men working could have a bit more enthusiasm but it was close to the end of the day so I’ll give them the benefit of the doubt. Owners are amazing!

I order a dark meat plate with collard greens, and yams! The chicken was yellow and the bottom of the box was filled with grease. The collard greens were super salty and they tried to cover it with vinegar, and the yams had absolutely no flavor they could have at least tried to flavor them and sprinkle some sugar on them.

Today was our second time coming to Soul Towne. The first time was just after they opened and I had mixed feelings. Today, however, was really satisfying. The decor was touched up and there is now some good music playing. Of course the important part was the food.. we had the fried chicken dinner and the pork chop dinner… Both were delicious as were the Mac and cheese, collard greens, potato salad, green beans and cornbread. We both cleaned our plates and didn’t have a single complaint about any of the food. I encourage everyone to come out and give it a try so we can keep this place in business.

This place has it all! It has such a welcoming, laid back atmosphere. I would call it a whole, chill vibe. So laid back, in fact, there is a chess board set up at the front window for patrons to sit and play. Everyone treats you like family and the food will make your mouth water.
