These folks are just great and their food is even better! We had Soulfully Vegan cater our daughter’s 8th birthday party (her request). The food came hot, timely, and with a smile. We had 30+ guests, none beside us 4 being vegan, all absolutely raving about the food. Several of my very critical family members were amazed to find out after the meal that they ate all plant-based meats and mac n’ cheese. Someone even commented that he might not ever have a regular hot dog again. We thank you so very much, not only for the food but for being an inspiration as a strong, independent, black-business. My daughters were in awe of your presence and we all appreciated you not just dropping the food off and spending some time to talk with us and the bday girl. We are very excited to attend the grand opening of your brick and mortar location in Berlin, CT. If it is not apparent, we highly recommend Soulfully Vegan and appreciate their culinary skills and business acumen. We wish you the best of success and look forward to seeing you again!

So, I have tried a lot of vegan restaurants in the 3+ years I’ve been riding the vegan train and this has got to be the most unique food Ive run into yet. Firstly, I ordered the soulful burger which is tastes like a delicious fusion between an impossible burger and pulled pork. It is tangy and salty, very tender and just makes you want to eat 10 of them back to back.

So I have a major dilemma – Soulfully Vegan has THE BEST vegan burger I have ever tasted (and believe me – I’ve had MANY!), yet I live carless in Providence and they seem to be mostly based in Connecticut. I really wish I could frequent them much more, but alas – it may not be in the cards!

Disc9vered their food truck today in Hartford. Food was delicious, well worth your time and money if you want tasty vegan food or want to try something different. The chili dog uses actual veans, something now a lot of places do.

Food was absolutely delicious! Not too heavy and was easy to digest. I ordered what I believe was called the soulful burger (cheese, jerk sauce, fried plantains) and it was amazing. The customer service was great and I will definitely be trying them out again in the near future. 5/5

Had an absolutely amazing couple of sandwiches from the truck when they were at the West End farmers market this week. The Soulful Burger (w/ plantains & jerk sauce) is not to be missed. Hearty and wonderfully flavorful without being overly filling or greasy – basically, a perfect fast food experience. Will follow this truck wherever it goes!!

We got to the truck right when they opened at noon. We got the weekly special burger, the soul burger and fries. The burger patty is really tasty and they are not overloaded and hard to eat. A perfect amount of toppings. We thought the 20 minute wait was a bit long for a food truck but it won’t stop us from visiting again. We hope they extend their hours soon so we can get dinner there. The location on downtown is shady and a perfect picnic spot.
