Great customer service. Clean, nice vibe. I ordered the famous slam burger with yams and a side of fried okra. Presentation was nice. Only problem was the grease the okra was fried in needed to be changed. Burger patty was over cooked. Yams where dried out. I will visit again and give the another try.

Great spot for a good quick meal. Really appreciate the late night service on the weekends. Zach’s Chicken Fried Chicken, Thin Lizzie Pork Chops, and the IWDAF Meatloaf are real good. Can’t miss with the Smashburger either. Cool vibe, friendly staff and good food. Great combo.

I had been eager to try this new gem, and I was not disappointed. We were greeted with a menu that had a breakdown of their seemingly plain dishes and different “combo” options to choose from.

This place rocks! I’ve had the hamburger steak, pork chops, and the enchiladas (was a special that day), and every single time has been awesome. The workers and owner seem to be great people with good hearts, too! I give this place a 10/10; great music, too.

Soul food. Chimes Street. LSU. What a PERFECT marriage of flavor, music, location, and tradition! I was privileged and honored to have been able to try the food and drinks here during their soft opening tonight. Guarantee you I’ll be back here OFTEN! I cannot speak to the price point since I don’t believe prices have been set just yet. Everything I tried (and I did try a LOT) was DY-NO-MITE! This place serves up soul food the likes of which I have not seen since the late 1990s when I frequented the Silver Spoon across the train tracks from LSU. Think thin cut fried pork chops, fried chicken thighs, fried catfish, mac & cheese, potato salad, greens, green bean casserole, and so much more! Your mom ain’t got $#t1 on THIS food! This place is bussin’! Go pass yourself a good time at Soulshine Kitchen & Bar. Your stomach and taste buds will be happy you did! No cap!

Great food. The regular menu is great. The brunch menu is great. Taco Tuesday is great. Good events, live music, etc in addition to the dining experience. On top of it all, really good vibes from really good people from the ownership on. Can’t recommend enough.

I often set up at the local art events at soulshine. Such a great turnout and the food is AMAZING! Definitely follow them on social media to keep up with their events, crawfish boils, and pop up dinners

Went here for the Dinner on the Patio: seafood edition and had the crawfish salad. BBQ New Orleans style shrimp, and the pb&j bread pudding. Amazing job Danny for knocking it out of the park with another pop up dinner, as usual! Can’t wait for more!

Food was ok. Chicken was overcooked and hard. Salad was otherwise ok for the price. The staff was very friendly and accommodating for the kids and even served their meal disassembled. Had to ask for forks though, the water glass was kind of dirty, and was served the wrong meal at first. I really liked the atmosphere though.
