I came here for a weekday lunch on our way out to see the Very Large Array. Great service, fast and attentive. Nice atmosphere. The food was excellent. The pulled pork sandwich was *outstanding*. I think I inhaled it in less than five minutes and wanted more even though I was full! Other family members had the fish sandwich and the Nacho burger and report that both were excellent. We came too early for drinking, but noticed they have a good variety of beers on draft, including some local ones. Will definitely return!

Great restaurant. Had live music and a wonderful atmosphere. Wait staff were quick and courteous. I had the fish and chips, and they were delicious. Fish was cooked perfectly, and the batter was crisp and tasty. Price was perfectly reasonable as well, and I will definitely eat there again.

I was very impressed with Sourdough Mine. It is in the historic Baca House in Socorro. The dining room is nicely decorated and gives an authentic feeling. Right away the smell will have you excited to eat. Staff is very friendly and quick to serve. The menu is expansive with selections. Great sandwiches, lots of burgers, specialty items, and a dinner entree menu. It was difficult to choose a meal. My meal was fantastic. I will be surely going back for more!

Probably one of the best steaks I have had in a long time. My husband likes his steak rare and they did a great job. The vegetables we’re fresh and cooked perfectly. I think the salad could have been bigger, but the lemon balsamic dressing was great. Only gave this a 4 because it would be nice to have a glass of wine. Busy night, but service was good.

Had never been to Socorro,NM before, & I did not want fast food. We tried Sourdough Mine on a lark. I ordered a Mushroom appetizer to share, Chicken Parmesan for my spouse, & Roasted Chicken (with Mashed Potatoes & Coleslaw as sides) for myself. The Chicken Parmesan I was told was satisfactory. The mushrooms I could have done with more, but they tasted just fine. The Chicken? Oh the chicken! The chicken was grossly overcooked to the point it was softer in consistency when compared to my mashed potatoes. I was very disappointed . I of course did not take it out on my 2 servers, nor did I send it back. Suffice to say I did not finish my meal, nor did I take leftovers. But if I ever find myself in Socorro, I would sooner chew my own leg off & season it, than eat at Sourdough Mine again. The chef can do much much better the next time he prepares Pecan wood Roasted Chicken ! I was surprised that the best part of my meal was….the balsamic vinegar dressed fresh coleslaw!

Disappointed. Socorro needs a good restaurant. I had high hopes. Given the opportunity ( a college town with a diverse faculty and student body) one would think Sourdough would use some imagination in their menu. Mostly beef beef and more beef.

Nice, local bar feel Food is good and tonight was the Cave In pizza and lemon pie, with coffee Not busy on this Monday evening and the service is good. The beer selection is average and could use a few more offerings. Tonight was a Marble Stout which was pretty good Located just north of the old Town Plaza, there is plenty of parking and a nice patio. Recommended.

Our pizza was very good. The toppings were fresh with a nice tomato sauce. My husband prefers a doughy pizza crust, so we took off a star for their thin cracker like crust. Service was great.

We visited during Socorro Day’s event. Place was busy, had live band. Had good menu selection, some craft and domestic beers. Cool older building with outdoor seating. Will be my new favorite spot when in the area. Staff was friendly.

Sadly kinda mediocre. Not bad but not great either. The quote “fresh sourdough” bun listed on the menu for the pulled pork was some generic premade bun, not fresh. It was also soggy. The fries were good though and the server was nice and friendly. Not a bad place to get lunch all in all.
