Love being able to have our dog with us on the patio. The menu is simple but has enough variety to please most people. The food is fresh and tasty. Atmosphere is causal and the scenery beautiful.

South Beach house is a fantastic establishment full of friendly people and amazing food! The views are amazing and it’s never a bad experience!! Walking into the outside seating area in the summer time is it true treat as you enter the smell of lilies fills the air. Be sure to greet Max, he’s about absolutely fabulous person!!

Beautiful setting. Love the backyard waterfront dining. Decent drink selection, good fish. However, limited menu compared with the website, definitely more than $$, oversalted pasta sauce, overcooked steak. Luke warm service (though they were busy). Not a good choice if you have kids. In the end I enjoyed the overcooked fillet and the atmosphere and would perhaps give it another chance but only because options here are limited.

Absolutely excellent. Could not have have asked for a better venue or food. The service was top notch, fun servers, very engaging and the view from sitting on the lawn looking out onto the ocean was perfect. Not to mention the food. We only had the tuna tartare, bread with an amazing Asiago cheese spread, and the satay beef … all 3 items were perfect.

We visit Point Roberts annually every summer with 2 other families. It’s our tradition to eat here, the food and service has always been fantastic. This most recent experience was not the case. The food was great, as always. But the service received from our waitress was absolutely terrible; the worst I’ve ever experienced, at any restaurant – and I eat out a lot. It pains me to have to give this 2 star review as we’ve always received great service and the people there are always good. We’ve even met the owner/chef. If we didn’t know any better, and if that was our first experience, we likely would never come back. It sometimes only takes 1 bad experience to wipe out all the good ones, unfortunately.

I really enjoyed my dining experience at South Beach House. It’s small, but not cramped, the view of the water is beautiful, and the if it isn’t too cold, the outdoor seating is in a wonderful little garden. The food was amazing and reasonably portioned, although pretty pricy. Of the three restaurants my wife and I dined at while in Point Roberts, South Beach House was the most expensive, but it was also probably the most romantic and intimate.

I can’t say enough good things about this place. The fillet minion is unbelievable cooked to perfection so the juices are trapped inside. Best priced whole crab when it is available.
