Pizza + HEB is a combination that can’t fail. The 16″ for $10 is a fantastic deal. By comparison, the 8″ for $7 doesn’t seem like a great deal considering that the 16″ has 4x the area of pizza (πr^2, ya know). But maybe that actually makes the 16″ all the better. The fact that there’s a 4-7 happy hour every day also is wonderful.

The pizza here is now our favorite in town. We walked into HEB one day, and the smell was too amazing to resist! We get pizza way more often than we did before we found out about South Flo, because everything else is average in comparison. Very surprised to find such good pizza in an HEB.

Didn’t like my cheese pizza but the thin crust was good. Got my pizza in 3-4 minutes. The crust itself had a flavor similar to the ones in wood-fired oven pizzas. Quantity of cheese was way too less. Couldn’t find any sauce in there. It’s meant to be enjoyed right after it comes out of the oven because a few minutes after that, the thin crust becomes very dry and hard to chew.

Inconsistent. Sometimes the pizza is good, sometimes its dry. The guy who made my pizza gave me a greasy receipt back but the pizza was dry?? A couple of times, the pizza did have enough sauce on it and it was decent. But I wouldn’t bother, just keep going down wellborn and pick up some Piasano’s.

This little hidden gem is a once a week stop for me and my father. The crust and sauce are some of my favorites I have ever had. The brave men and women who have to fight the torrent of hangry college kids nightly are some of the nicest food workers I have ever had the pleasure of meeting. Make sure and go during happy hour (4PM to 7PM), where you get a large 15″ with whatever toppings and two draft beers (craft) for $10. It’s crazy! Just make sure to get there before the crowd.
