Not really a fan. We are not locals and this was on our route. We had some high hopes. A bar b Que in a small town with no other restaurants. It must be good. Well we wanted over 20 minutes for a pulled pork- wayy too long. The pork was dry with tiny teeny cups of sauce on the side (they were not even filled). The fries were not good. A regular fry was probably about a half of a small potato or similar to the kids fry at McDonald’s. Ekkk.

Heard great things about this place, so I drive an hour to find this place. Pulled up to the restaurant and I didn’t smell smoke or food, things that worry me about bbq joints. Entered the restaurant welcomed warmly and sat promptly. Ordered the Chuck Norris, which is like the meat sampler platter. Brisket, sausage, pulled pork were solid. However, the pork candy was great. Worth the trip but no need to return.

I had a great time on my visit here. The customer service was beyond excellent, I wish I could remember her name. The food was awesome and the decor is cool. Lots stuff to look at while you are waiting to get your meal, and the food came out fast. The burnt ends where soooooo good, and the fries were hot and crispy. Also had a normal bloody mary which had a little spice and one of the best I have had. I plan on going back again to try the ribs with a fried cheesecake. There is an extensive selection of liquor and beer, lots of beers to try.

What a wonderful surprise. Drove by as luck would have it and then decided to stop and try it out because even the outside of the place looked fun. AWESOME bbq especially with the slaw. Friendly and attentive waitress. Relaxing comfortable atmosphere. I was so stuffed with food when I left ! It was a great time! I cannot wait to head there again!!!!!

I have not been here in almost 10 years and it hasn’t changed. The brisket was dry, not tender and no smoke to it at all. The pulled pork was very dry and had no smoke at all. The Brat was over cooked and wrinkly and had a smoke ring but didn’t have any smoke to it at all either. The Pork Belly Bites are very good, cooked very well but had no smoke at all. The Mac-n-cheese had no smoke at all either, if someone gave it to me and ask me to try it and asked what it was I would no say Mac-n-Cheese? The beans taste like canned pork-n-beans, but edible. All in all if you use the bbq sauce the food is edible but not (in my opinion) like any smoked bbq I have ever had?

This bbq place is the best i have ever had!!!! Tried it with my co-workers then that same day went back with my bf and grandson. Then the next day took my whole family…i couldn’t get enough of the amazing food. The waitresses treated us like we have never been treated before with respect and care. We ordered the pulled pork sandwich ($6.95), brisket sandwich ($9.95), and Mac and cheese ($2.95). The brisket was really good and was not as fatty as some others I’ve had. The portions were good, but sauces were mediocre. They have a really good selection of alcoholic beverages and their customer service was great.

So my mom was raving of this BBQ restaurant, she brought me some pork belly to try last night…. today we went to starved rock national park and went to south moon BBQ for lunch and all I can say it’s the best BBQ food I’ve ever had in my life, you’ve gotta try the Chuck Norris platter it’s mind blowing !!!! It’s me and my family’s new favorite bbq restaurant. Check it out you will not be disappointed.
