Nice local restaurant & bar. The smoked Rueben sandwich is a delightful combination of interesting flavors. Definitely worth the few minutes extra to get one. The potato skins appetizer with slaw, pulled pork & beans is very good, despite my reservation when ordering it.

First time here and I will be back. Good food and personable bartender. Had the burnt ends, 1/2 pound portion! I added sweet bbq sauce, and chose yummy seasoned fries as a side. Really enjoyed my meal. Good flavors. Reasonable price. Only criticism would be that the meat was pretty dry and to earn a 5 star rating, it should be moist.

South Moon BBQ is a nice clean restaurant with plenty of room in the bar or dining area. My visit was not great for this reason. Ordered the basic Pork sandwich and it was “cool” not cold but surly not very warm at all. Sent it back, same thing I think it made a one lap around kitchen area and no real notable change.. The meat flavor of my sandwich was great! My reason for only 3 stars was only for the cool sandwich twice, may be another time will be better when I get that way again.

Very fast and friendly service. Delicious food I had the Steve. My new favorite sandwich for sure. The only thing I can say is that the frys are cold. I dont think its the cooks fault maybe the heat lamp. Other than that top notch. I love the Montgomery location and this is just as good. Well done.

Great place!! The ribs were so flavorful. Great smoke ring and taste. Burnt ends were fatty delicious. Oh and the fried potato salad was excellent. The bartender was helpful and attentive. We will definitely be back.

I would highly recommend this place. The food is great. We had the pulled pork, brisket sandwich and chicken sandwich. Our appatizer was the corn beef bites. For dessert we had the fried cheese cake. My favorite BBQ sauce was the sweet St Louis. I found this restaurant on the way back from cutting down our Christmas tree. It’s a nice little town. Our waitress was very nice and made exelent suggestions. I would definitely make the trip back out here.

Great NBA! I am not a big bbq fan. We went there for my step-daughter’s birthday and the food was great. They also have beef and pork tips as appetizers…yum. If you like spice…go with their ghost pepper sauce. It was very flavorful…not just spice (but yes…very hot… so tender palettes beware lol)

The food was fantastic. I got a sandwich with pulled pork and brisket. They put so much meat on the sandwich that I could have made another sandwich with the meat that fell off. My dad got the ribs and he said they were the best ribs he’s ever had. They even had really good seasoned fries. I will definitely go back.

Pretty disappointed tonight. This is the second time that my husband and I have gone here and left hungry and frustrated. Out of ribs (darn good ribs so understandable there) but that is not posted when you walk in. We waited for 10 minutes before we were seated and then we were forgotten for about 15 minutes. That is when we found out they were out of not just ribs but at least 4 other main meals. Unfortunately this may be the last time for us since this is not the first time our visit played out this way.

South Moon is the best barbecue around in my opinion. I love their homemade sauces and many menu options. All of their locations are decorated very nicely giving it a warm and cozy dining experience. Owners Harlan and Katie are some of the nicest folks you’ll ever meet. Great people with a passion for barbecue!
