Great to visit old time shops like this. Locally owned and operated for many years and still putting out great stuff.

Hoagie was OK. But getting 1 star because they used brown wilted lettuce. I’ve worked at a few Pizza/hoagie shops. I would have never served brown lettuce. Was only a 10min drive to hotel, I doubt it wilted within that time.

I love these types of locally owned and operated eateries. It’s simple, it’s good and it’s a fair price. One just feels like part of the community while eating here.

We’ve been customers of South Side for 50+ years, through three owners from the same family. Love this place

Came here since I was a young kid in school love the place , can’t understand why they would ever close on a Saturday that has to have been a busy day for them. Since COVID hit many of are normals are either gone or has changed their hours so much it’s hard to go places anymore .

We stopped on a whime because I was craving a chessesteak and it arrived extremely greasy and bland as hell, no taste at all.. minute steaks with a tad salt/pepper .. Wasn’t impressed AT ALL with the older gentlemen that works there he was extremely rude to me but the guy sitting beside me got a totally different attitude.. Prices are OK… but this is the first/ last time I sit down to eat at this place!!

Had a ham and cheese hoagie. The ham was paper thin and you almost couldn’t see the cheese. At one time it was the BEST place. Not anymore.

Hometown hoagie shop with good food, I recommend the Italian cheesesteak. Always a nice selection of Amish bakegoods on the counter for a dessert. . Place hasn’t changed in years and that’s part of its charm. Highly recommend
