On first entering I was a little skeptical due to location and basic/mediocre appearance, but I’ve found many hidden treasures like this one. Food was worth the drive for sure. My first time trying Ox tails and Jerk chicken and it was very good. A little spicy (jerk) which Fiance said it should be, but very well seasoned. Cabbage and rice/beans was good also. Macaroni was good but a little sweet which was different. Loved the Guava drinks also. Service was great and loved the accent, great conversation when ordering. Everyone that came in seemed pleasant and created a welcoming environment for the most part. Loved the flag display on menu also

This was delivery, so I can’t speak much about the environment, but the food scratched a mighty itch. The chicken was seasoned DOWN! Super tender and delicious. The rice and peas were less coconutty than I’m used to, but still tasted amazing. The whole plate was still piping hot too.

This is not what I expected for a Caribbean restaurant. The chicken patty was burnt. The pea and rice tasted like it had sugar in it. The callaloo was bland. This was my first time here and I was not impressed at all. I am not sure if it was a bad day for them, but it was not a hit for me

Best Jamaican food in the Ham! Anybody tell you any different, I promise you, they are lying. It is difficult to find authentic Jamaican food, and this spot hits the nail on the head every time. The line might be long, but the wait makes the anticipation so worth it. You will not be disappointed with anything that you order from the menu. Now, Jamaican food is not to be played with if you’re not used to spicier foods, but the flavors to open up your palate are all there. My all-time favorites would have to be the Jerk Pasta or the Oxtail, but whatever you order, you will love it.

The absolute best, freshest, most authentic Caribbean food in Birmingham! The Jamaican jerk chicken is authentic and very tender (the kind to melt in your mouth). So flavorful! The cabbage was so good it nearly brought me to tears—I don’t say that lightly. The rice was also very good! Best of all, they give you huge portions for the price. I had at least 4 meals off of one plate and needed help finishing it.

A real Jamaican restaurant for real. Walked in the door and felt like I was back in Kingston. The oxtails and rice were excellent and he got me some freshly cooked plantain. I am definitely going back
