Visiting friends in Bristol VA, so we found this BBQ restaurant that we wanted to try. And we were not disappointed. I ordered the candied pepper bacon for an appetizer. Our friends ordered the cornbread appetizer and we all shared both.

Amazing food! Cornbread was very moist and delicious. Home fries were well seasoned and the aoli was great. Ribs fell off the bone. Pork was great. And the sides were wonderful too! Awesome outdoor seating for the pup too. Lovely variety of bbq sauces on the table and more to choose from the menu.

This is my first time eating at the restaurant and the food is amazing. The smoked salmon tastes amazing. The middle of the fish is still slightly moist. As the outer edges of the pink meat are a bit dry. The fried okra is AMAZING. I love how earthy and tasty it is. Mac n cheese is also on par. The cheese is creamy and smooth. Overall a nice experience with food.

The pulled pork tots were really good. The meat was moist and the queso had a nice heat. The collards were tender with a decent amount of heat. The sweet potato soufflé was more like a puree with an oatmeal crumble but had a nice flavor. The fried green tomatoes were well cooked, and the breading wasn’t too heavy. The potato salad is definitely more mayo based, and the mustard is minimal. Unfortunately, the pulled pork on all 3 platters was dry, and there were several chunks of fat. The smoked salmon was nice and moist, though. The bourbon pecan pie was delicious and had a thick crust. My mom loved the white chocolate raspberry cheesecake. My favorite thing was their deviled eggs!! A little salty and smoky. I would eat those all day long! Nobody else liked them, so I ate 4/6 halves The pepper jack grits were almost a paste. There was no texture left, and my husband and daughter were both disappointed as they love grits.

Really nice and tasty bbq! Great southern sides. We got the fried green tomatoes and pork collards.. and the baby back ribs were tender and “burnt” just right! Pulled pork, salad, and Mac n cheese were delicious too. Great service and atmosphere. Prices are the best we’ve found. Will be a frequent guest again.

Our first experience at Southern Craft (what took us so long!) and definitely will not be our last. I had the pulled pork plate with grits and fried green tomatoes and my husband had the burnt ends with fried okra and sweet potatoe souffle…both dishes were amazing. Generous portions for good price. Great atmosphere and attentive service. Will definitely be back!

I thought this place was great. The server was friendly and attentive. I had the pulled pork and brisket. Both were tender and flavorful. I tried all of the BBQ sauces the had at the table. The Memphis Style was my favorite. The pork belly collard greens were great as well.

We randomly decided to come here for breakfast this morning. It was so peaceful, no one else had came in until we were about to leave so I enjoyed the quiet! The service was phenomenal. The server was great and our food was out very quickly. I was honestly expecting to pay a lot more than what it was. The food was amazing.

Since this restaurant was at the hotel we stayed in, we stopped in for breakfast around 10:15 on a Friday morning before leaving town. The hostess said they were no longer serving breakfast, but then a server said they were, but it had to be quick. We asked about the special, but apparently we were reading the back of the special board and there was no special. She kept apologizing because she just got there and was super tired and she didn’t really know what was going on. Once she brought our drinks, she came back and let us know they were out of biscuits. We finally settled on breakfast bowls. The portions were large and the food was very tasty. I didn’t get the toast I ordered and had to ask for her to remove it from the bill.

Part of the Sessions Hotel, this Southern BBQ restaurant has really great food. Everything is freshly made and amazing. We had the brisket, shredded pork, pork belly. Mac n cheese, tomato and cucumbers, deviled eggs, and fried okra. Everything was superb! I highly recommend dropping in!
