This place has amazingly good southern food! We had the southern fried steak which was tender and seasoned green beans and mashed potatoes. I had the coconut mango mojito which was also good. For dessert we had Chocolate Pecan Pie with raspberry syrup which wasn’t what I expected, it is more like chocolate pie with pecans, but it is tasty. We also had moist cornbread. The service is good and we were fortunate to meet the Manager, Shawn. I recommend this place if you want Southern food.

First time to dine in to this restaurant and my goodness the food was delicious for me, my husband didn’t like the corn bread because it was just blend for his taste and the seafood gumbo But overall our main course were amazingly delicious.

We were gifted a gift card to this place and finally visited. I must say we were pleasantly surprised by the food. I got the southern fried steak and it was good, the side of beans perfectly crunchy and well seasoned, and the gravy over?? Yoooo!! Not sure what kinda magic butter they use in it, but it was awesome! Wife got the fried oysters and they were well seasoned as well. And that cornbread they bring out is super moist and has some hint of citrus and honey or something going on in it that’s really good and different. Pretty good selection of whiskeys to choose from. Overall enjoyed it and will definitely be back again.

The atmosphere was good and the restaurant was nice. We really didn’t see our server Michelle very much, so we had to wait for everything. As for the food, it was okay. I tried to beef brisket, and it was a little tough and grisly. It tasted good, just tough. I was excited about the pole beans, just didn’t expect it to be sautéed. Could have been cooked more. The potatoes were good. The peacan crusted catfish was decent. Didn’t really care for the cornbread. I might go back and try something else, but I won’t be rushes to do it.

So, according to my church family the meat/seafood dishes were great along with the baskets if cornbread. We had a large group so the menu was one set price of $39 for a starter, entree, and desert to choose between. The regular menu has 3 vegan options (Veggie Sandwich, Hummus plate, or Salad) all under $16, however when ordering with a large group, you would pay the set $39 price without a starter or dessert and Veggie Sandwich, Hummus plate, and Salad are definitely not dinner entrees, especially compared to the filling options offered to non vegans. I chose not to order as the restaurant was unwilling (manager assisted) to allow me to order separate from the group and pay regular price (under $20) as $39 set starter/entree/desert menu was not created with vegan options.

Cold fries. Bland ceasar salad and chicken. Room temp cornbread. The fryer shrimp was seasoned and cooked decently. The house salad was better than expected and the front of the house manager was as nice as the main manager. Seating is quite snug. Huge bar at the entrance. Many options on the menu ranging from breakfast faves to hearty low country and gulf specialties. However, seasoning is quite senior citizen palate friendly. So it is a great place to take something with a gluten allergy or high blood pressure. If you are a foodie, it’s meh. Phipps Place must have a hidden gem in the mist. This is not it.

This place has excellent service. Our waiter was very helpful and kind. The ambiance is really nice and dim. The location is very cute and they have complimentary valet, which is a plus. The only reason why I didn’t give them 5 stars is because I was not super impressed by the food. It was good, just not amazing.

Food is tasty and well seasoned. Restaurant decor is rustic but enjoyable. They have indoor and outdoor seating with free parking behind the restaurant. Prices are a little high for certain disks which is the norm lately. Overall it is a wonderful place for casual dining.

First time dinning here but will definitely be back with the wife! Atmosphere was cool and laid back with music playing in the background and just the right combination of natural light/ indoor lighting. I have had an awesome meal. House salad and beef brisket cooked to perfection. The right amount of sauce that made it just delicious. Very clean and organized restaurant. We will be back soon
