They food was great!! We got the Friday Large flounder combo with shrimp!! The portions to include the sides are generous. Our wait staff was just right!! The atmosphere was just what you expect for a small diner type place. Our first time, we will be back. Besides their great varied menu they have daily plate specials. Also serve breakfast!! I’ve eaten there several times since moving back home from Ohio. Truly delicious southern meals, very reasonable prices, and excellent service. Fridays are fish and shrimp days, so so good. They have a pickup window to call orders in ahead of time.

The monster burger and pimento cheeseburger is awesome and the beef is fresh. Great footlong hot dogs. Yummy crinkle fries,Cole slaw and chili is really good. 2 fried pork chops with vegetable sides are excellent. Breakfast is very good.This place is my favorite local restaurant stop. Service is good also.They have a drive thru which is convenient to stop on the way home and pick up a home cooked meal. I also like to support local business and this is a good one!! Definitely try it out

Service was great. Ticket time was less than 10 min. Food was typical southern breakfast(as you would expect). Lot’s of food for three adults under 40$. Looking forward to exploring other items on the menu.

What a wonderful local gem! We’re driving from Lake Lure back to Virginia and stopped here for lunch. We figured we made the right choice when we saw it was packed with locals. The food is comfort food, fresh, tasty, and well priced . Service was friendly and helpful. We’ll be back!

Let me start off by saying. I rarely give a 5 because there is always room for improvement. So let’s start with the bad… Sweet Tea! It was gross. It was lacking tea lol. But, being from GA I’ve learned NC cannot make sweet tea. Now the good.. Everything else! The prices, the food, the service. It was all outstanding. We will be back.
