Walked in literally at closing time when we came off the trail (we didn’t know the hours til we got there) and they were gracious enough to serve us anyway. The burgers and fries did not disappoint…DEEELICIOUS!! Burgers had a charbroiled taste, which my husband loves. Fries were hand cut fries like momma used to make. Very friendly staff…at least two of which are fellow Texans. We will definitely be back!

After spending the night in Alpine Loop and came into Lake City the next day, found this place. Brisket sandwich is packed with meat. Good, tasty beef. Not dried out. Husband got the chicken sandwich. After eating the entire thing, he said “they know how to cook chicken”. Nice staff. Great place to grab a bite to eat.

Super good food, but they ran out of burgers. My wife got the last one for the day. I had a brisket bowl with beans. The food was excellent and not too expensive for the location. Service and the people were very good and friendly.

Fellow Texan here. They have Great fried chicken strips. We came from Silverton over cinnamon 6/3/23 at 3:00 place was closed. We ate at packers instead. When we passed back through at 4:15 they were open for business. Saturday summer hours says 11am-9pm ♂️. Sorry we missed y’all. We will still give them another chance since they fancy my Texas taste buds

We had just returned our rented ATV following an all-day excursion on the Alpine Loop. It was pretty late, and there wasn’t much open. We had seen this restaurant before, but weren’t in the market for food. We were that night. I had the Angus Burger, fries, and a drink. The burger and fries were great! The wait staff was attentive yet patient, while we put off ordering. All around, it was a great experience.
