Southgate Grill is a full service bar and restaurant located near the south gate of Ocean Pines. We offer an indoor and outdoor bar, as well as indoor and outdoor seating. We also have room for private parties. We are known for our family atmosphere, affordable menu and quick, friendly service.
Southgate Grill is run by the Reeves family of Salisbury, MD. Mark & Leslie Reeves bought their first restaurant, Market Street Inn, in 1989 where our build-your-own style of menu became popular. They took a family break from 2001 – 2007. Back Street Grill opened in Salisbury in November of 2007 and Southgate Grill in May of 2016. Their children Corey, Gray and Joey now take part in running these two restaurants.

Had a great lunch with my mom while in the area. Food was hot and came out quickly. I had shrimp salad sandwich and my mom had the French dip. Both fantastic. We were waited on by the bartender who was very pleasant and attentive. One of the bar patrons noticed a young girl in the parking lot with a flat tire on her bike. Some of the staff went and got tools and went out and helped her repair it and we thought that was a kind gesture. Will definitely be back.

My husband and I placed an order for takeout and when I got the food home I was completely annoyed, disgusted & disappointed. The coconut shrimp was visibly burnt and hard. The fries was soggy, greasy and dark as if they were cooked in old grease. Whoever cooked this should be ashamed of themselves because that’s ridiculous.

First time trying SouthGate out and it was really good!! We live right in Salisbury and have been wanting to try ir out. Good drink specials, crabby fries were really good. My blackened chicken caesar wrap is probably the best I ever had! Service was quick and friendly. Only small complaint is I wish I would have known/been told it was almost $4 to upgrade from chips to fries. They were good though!

Great casual dining and large menu! The build your own sandwiches, burgers, and salads is a great option. Chicken was cooked well on 6 different dishes! Great salads, crabby chicken, cream of crab soup, and fries! Very reasonably priced and good service! We’ll definitely be back!

Lettuce leaves are rotten and expired, bacon and potatoes are fried to extremes in old, dirty oil, which suggests that they, too, have rotted and have to be fried like this to hide their stench.

The food was good. The cucumber salad was great! The service was fantastic and I imagine the patio is a beautiful place to sit by the pond when it’s not so hot out. It was a good local spot to grab a quick bite.

Menu has lots of choices. They switch out specialenu items, so it’s not always the same. Sometimes the specials are not great, I think they are trying out new stuff that doesn’t always work. The bar area over the pond is a great place to relax with friends and have drinks. Guinness on tap is a wonderful option. The wait and bar staff is great.

I have a midwifery practice about 2 miles south of this restaurant as I travel here from Baltimore at least twice a week and I’ve eaten here at least 4 time. The food is great! I always get a crispy chicken Cesar salad with crab soup. Unfortunately today when I came in, I wasn’t acknowledged or greeted for at least 5 mins before a lady expressed they are busy and that the phone orders weren’t happening because of it. Everyone by passed me although i was patiently waiting. I was finally able to place my order and pay. After paying the bartender didn’t say thank you, she didn’t tell me how long the order would be before it’s ready, she just went right back into catering the folks at the tables.
