Been there 3 times already and everything was impeccable. Besides the desserts, the food was delicious. I’m hoping the menu will be changing for the fall season. I thought the salmon with ratatouille was a bit heavy for summer and because I don’t eat meat, I’d like to try another preparation. The branzino was perfectly prepared and the corn was crispy and sweet. The outdoor area was just beautiful on a rainy evening, and the servers who were young, were perfectly polite. I couldn’t regale Francois Payard’s gem of a restaurant more positively!!!

For our Girls Night Out we tried a new restaurant, Southold Social by Chef François Payard. Everything was outstanding, the ambiance, decor, staff, and of course the food! If you like sweet cocktails order “Don’t Poke the Bear”. The Caesar Salad and Cacio E Pepe were delicious, and the Payard Chocolate Dome was rich and decadent with a touch of hazelnut.

Food was so good! Focaccia was perfectly airy and finished with a sprinkle of sea salt. We had the charred octopus, tuna crudo, orecchiette with mushrooms, and house made cavatelli. Service was great! Our favorite was the chocolate dome…I could have this every night.

Food was delicious, great venue and vibe. Our server, Gabe, was terrific. He kept apologizing for the “wait” when it came to things like our drinks etc but we reassured him we were on “East End time”, and it was truly no worries. Great job Gabe! Definitely recommend to others.

Love love love this place! Dinner was delicious and the staff is very kind. The Chef François Payard was going around the room, very accessible and loved to talk about his restaurant and his desserts especially, which are all to die for! So happy that he decided to settle in The North Fork!

Gem of a restaurant in downtown Southold. Creatively presented food featuring local and seasonal products. Our party of 6 sat outdoors under the awning and enjoyed cocktails, tuna crudo, watermelon feta salad, Caesar salad, Berkshire pork chop, Marrakesh chicken, orecchiette with mushrooms. Make sure to save room for François Payard’s pastries!

I have had dinner here twice. It was delicious both times. The peppered steak was out of this world. It was literally one of, if not THE best steak I ever had. I was there at closing and had the pleasure of meeting their head chef. I shook his hand and let him kniw how good my meal was. We chatted with the bartender and other staff for quite some time. It was an amazing experience and it has become one of the staples when recommending places to eat for friends and family in the area. 5 stars for both food and service. Its rare when you are made to feel like family at a restaurant. I left feeling like I made new friends. A lost tradition in the world of fine dining.
