Came here because we were in the area and glad we did! The BBQ was amazing, and the folks at the counter were so friendly. You really get your money’s worth here. There is a butcher section if you want to grill up at home, but the BBQ is the real star. I had the brisket potato, and it could easily feed two people. I highly recommend it.

The food was okay. Brisket was decent, Baby back ribs were just mid, and the Turkey was bland. Potato salad is not something I’d order again. The pinto beans were decent once I added black pepper to them. My question is, how do you run out of sweet tea at a restaurant in Texas??? My first notion was to go with a beer, but I didn’t. Thinking back, I should’ve.

Sausage and brisket and sides! Oh my! So good! I love this place. Started going to the original location in Elgin when I was a kid 30+ years ago. I was a little discouraged by the disposable plates, but decided to go old school and eat my food off the butcher paper!

The place looked nice and the staff was pleasant. The food on the other hand was not good. I had a 2 meat plate with spare ribs and moist brisket with mac and cheese for the side. My friend had a two meat plate with moist brisket and turkey with potato salad and Mac and cheese for a side. The moist brisket was awful, it was flavorless and tasted purely of something like lighter fluid or other fuel, and liquid smoke. Whatever the flavor was the brisket was so bad we couldn’t eat it. The Mac and cheese was also cold, but passable for me. The spare rib was decent, so was the turkey.

Got curbside. Brisket was ok. Not much smoke flavor. Ordered lean, still lots of fat. Sausage was fatty as well. Overall, just OK. Probably won’t go back.

It’s great to have this Texas BBQ legend here and not need to make the drive to the original. Ordered a 2 meat combo with sausage, brisket and sides of potato salad and Mac and Cheese. Everything was delicious. Brisket was super moist and even got a burnt end. The sauce is also a perfect compliment to both of the meats. Probably could have eaten more but this portion size was perfect. Will return again soon

I loved the food. Brisket sandwich with meat so tender it melted in my mouth. No sauce required because the smoke ring was perfect and imparted all the flavor brisket needs. Really good pinto beans, and dry slaw devoid of messy mayonnaise that runs slaw. One of best in ATX area.

Pretty nice building with well placed sinks in the main area. Service was fast. The food tasted great. Highly recommend the huge chopped brisket baked potato.

I have had better BBQ, but for “fast” BBQ, this is especially tender and moist. The server took time to explain the best way to get the most food for the lowest price. That is NOT something I expected!
