I feel I can write a review because I have dined here in Woodbury 5 times already. If you like delicious made to order fresh foods that will delight you and everyone with you, this is the 2016 GO TO PLACE. This is the best culinary and craft cocktail place in St. Paul. They do what they love and you can feel the experience.

We went last Friday evening around 7:15ish. My husband and I as well as our two friends always love to try new restaurants. The menu at Sovereign looked amazing so we decided to give it a chance. That is where our experience took a downfall. I’m giving three stars because the food was on point. Everything was very tasty. My spinach salad was a little “over dressed” for my liking however, the flavors were delicious. Food GREAT but our Server wasn’t on her game at all! Either she was completely new to the service industry all together OR she was newly hired here. Either way there were multiple mishaps on her part that really took our experience downward. So much so, we’re not sure if we’d even want to go back. I’d like to think this was just a fluke b/c all the other tables around us seemed to be really enjoying their experience as well as the other people who wrote reviews. Woodbury NEEDS a “Minneapolis” style restaurant badly.

I cannot recommend this place enough. The service, the food, ambience… everything. If you want to have a great dining experience at a reasonable price, DO visit! Smoked salmon, duck, fish and chips, lamb, grilled cheese, mini burgers, cheese curds, scallops, mixed green cranberry salad… ALL fabulously delicious. Staff was amazingly attentive without being overbearing. We loved it!

I don’t write many reviews but this place deserves one. Had the pub grub and the brussels and pork belly apps and they were both very good. We ordered lamb chops and the burger for entrées and they were both awesome as well. The service was very good and everyone was friendly. Although there are a lot of options in Woodbury, not many are great. This one is.

Everyone in Woodbury seeks a restaurant that is not a chain and has great food. This is the place! The complexities of flavor, the presentation and the unique menu are spot on. We had the smoked salmon crostini ….to die for, the lamb chops and the scallops. Absolutely delectable!
