I heard from some locals that this was their go-to spot. I’m glad I listened. I had a shrimp platter and it was great. Biggest surprise? I guess I’ve never had authentic hush puppies before and I’ve been missing out! Everything is lite and not greasy and the flavors are perfect. My server was friendly, helpful, and a real joy!

Not very good. Chilli tasted more like tomato soup with chuncks of hamburger. Chicken fingers were flavorless. Spuds were poorly seasoned.

Stopped into Spanky’s on a recommendation, and we are so glad we did! Ordered the chicken fingers and spuds. We tried the honey horseradish sauce (they’re signature), BBQ and ranch. The BBQ was our favorite, so good! You must try spuds if you have not before!

We did a really late lunch/early dinner. It wasn’t too crowded until we were almost finished. Our waiter was Jami ( I think I spelled that right). Very attentive. Really good food and the drinks were wicked. Nice, clean place. If you get a chance, go by this place.

The chicken fingers and pizza were good. I was more impressed with the atmosphere and the building than the food to be completely honest. I love chicken finger sauces and I had the house sauce, bbq, and honey mustard and felt they were decent. Our waitress was fantastic however! It was great to try and say we have been there, but I’ll try somewhere else when I visit.

I could not try any of the foods they are famous food because of a food allergy, so, I had the hotdog and coleslaw. Both were good and good flavor for what they were, now the blueberry Moscow mule was smooth refreshing and delicious.

Spanky’s provides good food and plenty of it. My wife and I split one of their chicken salads, included a side of hush puppies, and we were really full by the end of our meal. Good food, reasonable service, not overly crowded even at lunch time.

I definitely love the hotdogs I can eat so many of those. I usually have a decent experience on River Street but not this time. I prefer the one on the Southside. It was just convenient since we were already down there

Home of the original chicken fingers! They were small but good. I preferred a friend’s fries more than the Spanky’s Spuds which I think were cut too thick and fried too fast. Four fried pickle spears was too many. Two cheese sticks were not enough!! However, I did eat everything on the Sampler Platter!
