Stopped by this restaurant near the University of Denver campus on a Monday evening for an early dinner. We were greeted right away and seated at our table without any wait. Menu has a good variety of food items and they have daily specials as well. We had a Reuben sandwich and a Cobb salad that came to about $30 plus tax and tip. lots of seats and tables, and parking is free although the lot is not that big. Give it a try!

We enjoyed Spanky’s. The drinks were made right and came out fast. Our server was pleasant and attentive. We ordered the Monte Christo and Burger Patty Melt. Both were delicious, hot, and gooey. Great experience!

This place has a great atmosphere. It probably is oriented to younger folks, so the music is a little loud. But it was fine. All of the staff was helpful and up beat. It was cold on the day we were there, but we could see that in good weather the place would really open up! Now for the food!! We had nachos for an appetizer that were amazing. We all (four of us) enjoyed our entrees. The burgers were awesome. Give it a try sometime.

Margaritas were very acidic and had flakes of red in them with a aftertaste that was weird. Waitress (tall Blonde)was a little rude and messed up 2 of the 3 orders. The person who brought out food took our food back when just the sides were wrong which was weird. The waitress never apologized for the mishap and making two of us have to wait for our dinner while the other party was able to eat.

This place fell into our laps as we were out driving around looking for place to eat on a Saturday afternoon. My girlfriend and I were headed toFiddlers Green for a Concert. We decided to detour off to University Boulevard to look for something to eat but we wanted to be waited on , lol we found Spanky’s we parked, walked in, it was a cool little spot. We were immediately greeted by the hostess asked if we wanted a high top or a booth either or works for US. We were sat at a booth. Our waitress came over immediately introduced herself personally I love that! she was very well groomed, gorgeous and professional She Introduced US immediately to the happy hour menu pointed out the Spanky’s Margarita gave us a few minutes. I will always love this place! Great food, location, and staff. They have the best unlimited wings on Tuesdays and one of the best burger combos on Wednesdays. Absolutely one of my favorite places and I intend to come back all the time. It is also perfect for dates on a budget. The staff is always friendly and some have even recognized me as a regular!
