What about waiting in line to place order while the employee discussed her upcoming vacation with the customer at register? What about waiting 15 minutes for the biscuits to bake? What about two sausage patties dried up, cold, and inedible? I was willing to let all this slide. Truly. But when I ordered another biscuit to go (total bill now up to almost 10 dollars) and quietly told the employee at register about the sausage she presumed to tell me it had been prepared fresh and to order and that, if I wanted it “not so done,” I should have specified. . . Well, I can’t let it slide. I know flat, tasteless, dried up food when I see it. I know when I am being lectured by staff at the front register. What a disappointment. Two stars is generous. One for the self-serve coffee. One for the biscuit.

This is a casual southern food restaurant with walk up ordering and a buffet option. After you order or go through the buffet, you seat yourself . This was my first time eating there. My husband and I both had chicken tenders from the buffet. I can say they were probably the most hot, tender and juicy tenders we’ve had. That being said, I believe they didn’t have enough flavor. I also had the broccoli casserole and baby lima beans. I enjoyed both. Then comes the roll….OMG….the best best I’ve had in a long time. It was served hot as bread should be and was melt in your mouth delicious!!! Then for dessert I had a yellow cake. This was good also. My husband had creamed corn, white beans and salad and said everything was great. Service was amazing as well. Obviously we both walked away with difficulty as we had eaten way too much!!! We would definitely return when we pass through again.

Came Friday night, large dinning room was closed due to small crowd. 4 in our party, we each ordered separately and pay. My husband and I got our food. My friend inquired about their food….. it’s cooking. Another waitress comes over and explains that their order was not written down and now it’s cooking. We continue to wait … her husband goes to the counter and sees they just started cooking their order…. He gets his money back, they are hungry….. the food was good but the lying wasn’t ……and NO apology…. No one showed any concern…. Not good business!!!! We’ve been to this restaurant for years….. never experienced such rudeness !! B

This small town restaurant is ok. Our food left us both full but feeling a little “meh”. Staff were great as they usually are in these small southern towns. My pancakes were a little tough and chewie. Wifes omelet was unremarkable. We left full but a little bored.

Only reason for not giving 5 stars is because it was confusing when entering how this place works. There are 2 separate places to sit, you go ‘thru’ a buffet line so to speak, or there is a buffet in the open area too with the same stuff, or you can go to the cash register and ask for a menu to order your food and pay, then they give you a number and bring it to you. Very confusing. Decent prices, average, food portions are very generous and people here are absolutely very kind and nice.

A great food resturant with friendly workers and food like grandma’s. We go often when in the ares. Its a must for lunch..meat and 3 with dessert and drink at very reasonal prices. A must go lunch place.
