My husband and I went there for the first time today and both had pasta dishes. They were excellent. The waitress brought us warm bread to begin with and when we were eating our meal asked if we would like another loaf. Not only was the food excellent but so was the service.

We used them for our bar tending services at our wedding. The two bar tenders were constantly outside and on their phones. We supplied 15 bottles of wine to be served to our guests for free which were placed on the counter where the bar was to be set up and their catering manager was informed of ahead of time. They did not chill or serve any of that wine until my wife and then I went up to complain and figure out what was going on. This was very embarrassing since we told our guests the wine would be FREE. The only time the bar tenders were at all good and accommodating was when I personally went up to get a drink. After the dance they charged my credit card the remaining balance of the night and our tab, which was fine, however I repeatedly asked for an itemized bill via phone call and email and have yet to receive one over a month later. I am almost positive they charged us the “corking” fee on all 15 bottles – even though they weren’t supplied until the middle of the night – and on two bottles of champagne that were just handed to us to open ourselves, and even for the ones that weren’t even opened!

My dad and I ate there for the first time. Tuesday March 25th at about 11:30.Saw the owner on TV all the time and heard of him boosting about the freshness and quality of all the food. Just wanted to see for ourselves. We had the buffet. Nothing was labeled as to what kind of foods were being served. Including the salad dressing. We did ask our waitress. She told us one of the I four chicken served were spicy. We found that although all were good all but one was very spicy. The thing was our waitress was very bad. Did not have time to serve us properly. Asked for more water had to wait to long. She finally brought us new plates after waiting a while. She did not clear our dirty plates ever. She asked us how the food was and before we could answer walked away. You weren’t that busy. She wasn’t mean but sure was not friendly.

We were seated somewhat quickly by a less than enthusiastic hostess, to be waited on by an initially fairly unfriendly waitress. She improved by the time she brought us our drinks and service was good after that…but the food was a huge disappointment. It was very expensive for what you got i.e. onion rings were $10.00 and there were literally 10 rings on the plate, nothing special about them at all. The lasagne was very spicy and a very small portion for $15.00 with no garlic bread on the side even. The Build your own pasta Alfredo sauce had very little flavor and again, super expensive for what you got-every little add on was extra-so you end up with a small amount of pasta for about $20.00. The prime rib sandwich was pretty good, not great for $11.00, but okay. The grand finale was the Key Lime pie, which the waitress initially told us she thought was gone. It was nothing but a scoop of green dyed cheescake-no key lime about it at all. Perhaps we came on a bad night, the person who recommended this restaurant had good food before…but sadly, I will not even give them a second chance because at $82.00 for 3 people (no alcoholic beverages, we had cokes) I can’t afford to waste that kind of money. I never mind paying good money for a great meal and great service, but this was not the case this time. I also need to mention that I have never written a review about a restaurant before, and don’t like saying negative stuff but I had to with this restaurant, hopefully it will be corrected. BTW-our table was dirty w/crumbs too.

Great meals, and great service! That sums up my entire experience here at the Speak Easy. Everything I get here is always made to perfection, and the servers are phenomenal at their jobs, and super friendly to top it off! Nothing I’ve gotten has been less than divine; I highly recommend coming here!

I worked at this filthy slum joint. Trust my words on this review. After seeing what goes on behind the kitchen doors, I personally will NEVER EAT HERE, THEN AND NOW!! The owner Mercill is a slob. His heart is not here, where? I don’t believe he even knows. This is breeding grounds for bacterial infestation experiments. I can’t believe they haven’t been shut down yet. Bring antibiotics so ya don’t get sick. I speak the truth.

Delicious food, something to choose from for my whole family. Good portions, fresh ingredients, things seemed to be made from scratch, and lots of unique choices. Service was friendly and prompt. Will definitely come back often.

Valentine’s day! The lobster lasagna was exceptional xoxo Martini sampler was a nice addition to the current flight trend. Asian pear is worth mentioning but, the long island ice tea is a 10 out of 10. Service and atmosphere are inviting and full of classic character. Love this place!

Michael was so very helpful and courteous in the midst of chaos. Spanky’s called five days before our scheduled event and moved us from the dining room to the BAR! It was a celebration of my Mother’s 80th Birthday. I was in a real spot as this was totally unacceptable, and to find a place in 5 days to have reservations for 30 on a Saturday night was next to impossible. Michael was totally accommodating and decorated the banquet room beautifully. I can’t thank them enough. The service was impeccable. I would highly recommend Speak Easy.

Unfortunately didn’t get the ice cream I came for. We were looking for ice cream, and a local pointed us to the Speak Easy. My mom wanted to try the monster cookie flavor, meanwhile my father was perusing the modest, but decent selection. Perched above the frozen creams was a bell, and a sign. The sign read “ring for service.” Ring we did. Once, twice, three times. Each time with a longer pause. Surely someone heard us. After waiting longer than we could possibly fathom, we began to wander. Hopefully wed find someone serving the four or five people seated in the restaurant… No. No one. We rang the bell again. Five, six, ten times. Still no one answered our desperate requests for sweets. Back to exploration, we found ourselves at the salad bar. We will fully admit, we took two croutons. Then considered Taking the bell as we re-enacted that scene from Breaking Bad. You know the one.
