We always try to support local when we go someplace new. Tried this place today. Absolutely loved the ladies behind the counter. They didn’t have half of what I wanted on the menu. I liked the hush puppies that are made in house.

This place is Awesome! We had a job out here in Lexington and decided to stop by for Lunch. So glad we did! Everything was fantastic and I definitely recommend the potato salad and fried okra sides. The BBQ has lots of flavor and pairs excellent with the BBQ slaw for an unforgettable sandwich experience. Go check em out!

The food is mediocre. Definitely not bad but not really anything that stands out. Their burgers are put together nicely but not a lot of meat on a regular burger. The fries needed salt. It’s understandable that some people have dietary restrictions so they may not add salt but salt NEEDS to be added to fries as soon as they come out of frier, otherwise they don’t stick to The fries. Those that can’t have salt just need to tell the Cook’s ahead of time to make special one for them. The BBQ 1lb special seemed to be lacking. It didn’t seem like a pound but I didn’t weigh it. I understand the economy is rough on small businesses and most are just cutting back on quantities instead of raising the prices too much. The curb service was excellent!! I’m old fashioned and there’s nothing like good friendly curb service!

We ordered 1 lb of bbq to go. I didn’t get a picture before eating some but it comes with so much bbq, hush puppies, rolls and slaw. It is such good bbq!

We ordered 4 bbq chicken plates and a BBQ salad when we got to my brother in laws house where we where going to eat it , the order had 4 chicken strip plates and a BBQ salad I called to tell Speedy Lohrs and they where so nice and ask if we could come get tge correct plates. I said sure. They also said we could keep the wrong plates. I thought that was nice I gave them to neighbors and told them it was on Speedy Lohrs they were happy because it was lunch time. It was a nice surprise and they commented that it was really nice of speedys to give us the mistakes. We picked up our correct order and they gave us some banana pudding for our inconvenience. Of course my grandson ate it all and said it was Almost as good as mine. LOL. Our BBQ chicken was great! Great customer service. Great staff so very nice. It all turned out so much better than I ever thought. Try getting anything corrected at McDonald’s it doesn’t happen. That’s why we go to small businesses first.

Asked the waitress if a drink came with the combo and was told no. She then said you can get a senior drink which we were fine with. BBQ was really dry and left over. When we got ready to pay we were informed that they do no have senior drinks and the cashier was very rude about it. When we told her that was what the waitress said , she said no I never said that. That is the only reason we ordered drinks is because we were told we could get a senior drink. Then the cashier said you have to get a senior plate to get a senior drink. We were never told that. We ended up paying $4.50 for 2 unsweet teas that were old. I guess thats the only way they can make money is to lie to you since the place was empty 2 hours before quitting time… 2 t’s 1 bbq combo and 1 bbq sandwich $19.95 with tax… Glad they got it because they will never get any more from me.
