Our favorite restaurant in Ann Arbor. The rotating menu never disappoints and they simply have the best food and wine in Ann Arbor. We’ve been several times and have enjoyed every meal immensely. The owners seem like great people as well. Make your reservations early as they fill up!

Our first time at Spencer and really enjoy the full experience. The food was very hearthy and delicious. Very impressed with the wine selection and diversity of regions. Overall, a well rounded experience and can’t wait to try next month’s menu.

Our lunch experience at this establishment was simply delightful. From the moment we stepped in, we were warmly greeted and promptly attended to, setting a positive tone for our visit. The lunch menu, although small in size, perfectly complements the hip and vibrant atmosphere of the place. We savored the delicious focaccia of the day, accompanied by a refreshing beet salad and a side of olives, all beautifully paired with a glass of Chilean Sauvignon Blanc. The server went above and beyond, offering us helpful recommendations and displaying genuine kindness throughout our meal. We opted to sit outside, where the street was closed to create a charming outdoor seating area for all nearby businesses. I wholeheartedly recommend this place to both locals and visitors alike. I’m eagerly anticipating my return for a delightful dinner experience.

I usually don’t leave 5stars. Most excellent places are 4, but this place is exceptional. Went there about 1.5 months ago during labors day weekend with my boyfriend and his mom. Was so excited to try for a long time and it did not disappoint me! The presentation is fantastic, the talk they give for you is nice. The food, is of course so good. If you do $75 dinner option the portion is pretty huge, but it could depend on the time and menu, I guess? This is probably the only fine dining restaurant I can recommend to anyone who’d like to have a full experience and amazing dishes for special occasions. – and don’t forget grab some wines their selections are quite interesting even I don’t know much about wines could see how unique each wine is. Excited to visit them again for fall/winter menu!!

Easily our favorite restaurant in town. When we travel around the country (NYC, SF, Detroit) we compare their menu to Spencer as our gold standard. (Spencer usually wins!) If you appreciate fresh, innovative, farm-to-table food, then this is your place.

Good price, wonderful atmosphere at their patio, friendly and professional staffs, and even good enough small plates! They have a great list of conventional as well as natural wines, and they are all listed with very reasonable price tags. Pick a bottle of natural wine from their retail shop and just go out side for a seat at their patio. This place provides a unique Ann Arbor vibe that everyone would love to enjoy.

Spencer is one of my favorite restaurants in Ann Arbor because of the delicious food and the unique atmosphere. The menu is constantly changing but everything I’ve eaten there has been really delicious. You can never go wrong with the cheese board! It is fantastic and the staff gives a great explanation of all the meats, cheeses, pickles, etc. The seating is communal so it can feel a bit squishy if you’re not used to that sort of thing.

I can’t come to Ann Arbor and not pay a visit to my favorite place in the world. Everything is exquisite. I have no idea what I eat most of the time but I don’t care because it’s all delicious, well made, and VERY flavorful. I wish I could personally invest in this place and bring it back with me to Seattle!
