I tried this place recently and the fried shrimp was good just lacked in bold flavors. I got onion rings as my side, but now I know not to do that again. I wasn’t expecting walmart brand store bought onion rings honestly. I was hope for some good home-made hand battered onion rings. The staff and owners are nice and great people but food wise for me was lacking. I could cook better at home. I’d offer my services if you need help in the kitchen, just pay me cash.

I came in for a business meeting and ended up chatting with some local fellaz. Couldn’t help but smell the ribs. I ended up getting some fish which put Kokomo Fish and Chicken to shame. I co-own Macland restaurant in town and I’d recommend Spices of Smoke. Great people and good soulful, wholesomeness, simply what business in food is about. From one business to another I wish you success and thanks for bringing some good damn fish!!

Chicken wings are great, pulled pork was wonderful, and the ribs are fantastic. Convenient location, wonderful staff, and friendly atmosphere. I highly recommend for their soul food.
