Best restaurant in Alpine. Great environment with a nice cool patio seating area. Our server was awesome and very friendly. Shout out to Christian.

It was my first time visiting Alpine, Texas, and a lot of people recommended Spicewood. So, when some of my local friends decided to have their 1-year old’s birthday there, I was excited to try it.

We visited the Big Bend area a year ago and we loved it. I’m not sure how we missed this extraordinary restaurant but it was so gorgeous. The staff is great. Kudos to Christian and Bethany who made our visit spectacular. The drinks were magic and the appetizer (brisket nachos) didn’t last a few minutes. We were a party of 11 and no one complained about anything. The view of the mountains is memorable and if you stay past sunset, there are tables with fire pits to enjoy. The food was absolutely delicious. Try this place before you leave the area

Walked in on a spur of the moment trip down from Dallas. The hostess was VERY pleasant and personable. The atmosphere I this place was fantastic. We were almost intimidated. As we just drove 9 hours, we felt like we were under dressed but once we sat, our server made us feel right at home. He was nicely attentive and made sure we always had a full drink and even made some fantastic recommendations. The food was amazing. The view out the back was pretty great too. Will definitely be coming back to try more foods and the bar area next time we’re in town.

Passing through Alpine on the way to New Mexico and happened upon this gem!! Definitely worth a look!! It has a small menu but with all the essentials. A lovely outdoor seating area, with fire pit. There is a nice enclosed bar area with a tv for watching sports. Margaritas were good! A couple of things that could have been better with our entrees but they were good nonetheless! You should definitely stop by if you are in the area!

we arrived, a party of 7, without a reservation and they still promptly seated us.. but at 2 adjoining tables. The waitress was very attentive and the food was very good. The atmosphere was good but service a tad slow.. which we were OK with as we were about the experience not just a fast lunch. Overall, excellent experience and will definitely visit again next time.

The hostess was really lovely, and the nacho appetizer was great. Drinks were pretty good. However, our entrees were quite bland our table service was lacking. My husband tried to get our waitress’s attention for nearly 10 minutes, and every time she was over she didn’t even look our way. It was a VERY pricey dinner, and the service wasn’t even worth the tip we left.

The restaurant appeared clean and well maintained. The restaurant drew a fairly large crowd of both locals and visitors. The staff was friendly and courteous; even if somewhat uneducated about the menu items. The food was very good, for me, not requiring any added Seasoning. The portions were quite generous. Prices seemed a bit high, but overall a good value.
