I WISH I COULD DO SIX STARS! You can cancel that trip to Flushing. Spicy Home Tasty 2 has exactly what you need, right close to home [well, close for me anyway]… We were big fans of the food at the original spot, and I like this location even better! It is clean, comfortable, tastefully decorated, and *oh man* is the food superb. We started with scallion pancakes, which were surprisingly flakey, fresh and light. The fried dumpling appetizer was an ample portion, and while the dumpling dough was thicker than I expected, it was delicious and had excellent texture with just the right amount of chew. The filling was tasty and in nice proportion to the dough; all of these qualities worked so harmoniously together, we would definitely get them again. Entrees were Curry chicken, Thai casseroles and Dry pot shrimp. Our Thai casseroles came served in their own little wok, complete with a personal burner below the pot [see pics]. Even the dishes that didn’t arrive with their own awesomely cool heat source arrived perfectly prepared and piping hot. Our waiter Daniel fielded our questions, made recommendations, and ensured all the diners at the other tables were taken care of too. He is sweet and attentive and made sure that we wanted for nothing! I asked for a little hot sauce and Daniel produced a bowl of the most delicious “house” concoction of oh-so-flavorful hot chili pepper slices and oil [see pic]. Dang, there needs to be more of this stuff in my life. This restaurant is a wonderful departure from the local Chinese take-out joints; you won’t get corn starch-gloppy, overly sweet, Americanized versions of tired classics here. The menu has many fantastic choices, so take your time, ask questions if you need to, and you will surely enjoy some deliciously prepared and presented food! I hope you have as memorable time as I have.

I have been to Spicy Home Tasty in Commack and when I saw a new location opened I had to come check it out! I got a crispy rice shrimp dish and my friend got chow fun. Both were amazing! Great flavor and good quality – will 100% be coming back to try more things off the menu!

Food was terrible. Shrimp shumai for an app. Tasted fishy with minuscule, microscopic shrimp on top. Roast duck noodles for me. Duck looked like it was roasted a week ago. All bones and barely any meat. I refused to eat it. My wife tried it and said it was awful. She ordered Coconut Chicken which tasted nothing like coconut. Chicken and broccoli (sauce on the side) for my two boys. Chicken was like shoe leather. Sauce was incredibly salty – glad it was on the side. Honestly just terrible. No photos. While they were nice to the boys (1 & 3 yrs old), service was poor at best. Never checked to see how we were doing. I just paid the bill to get the terrible experience over with. $71 for absolutely awful food. Stay away.

Wow what a meal! The whole experience was top notch. Service superb. Food, expertly prepared with quality ingredients. I’m afraid this review may ruin my ability to get a table, but wow it was all that.

WOW ! This place is fantastic. My wife and I are big fans of Chinese food and are always looking for great restaurants here on Long Island. SHT2 is definitely one of the best if not THE best. Most Chinese restaurants on LI are mediocre at best. There are some good ones but they are few and far apart. You will find SHT2 head and shoulders above the rest. SECHUAN cuisine may be a bit challenging for some because of the spicy nature of most dishes but if you can handle it, this place is extraordinary. (They will tone it down some if you want.) Their regular Chinese dishes are also great. Try the sesame chicken. Fresh crunchy nuggets in a sweet sauce. Perfect. Very different from the usual, cooked yesterday, dried up, dish you are served at most other places.

As good as food gets. The drypot fish is one of the best dishes I’ve ever had. We’ve been there 4 times in the past month. It’s catching on- busier each time. If you have to wait, it’s worth it. Can’t get enough.

This restaurant was awesome! Not your run of the mill Chinese restaurant. They had some old favorites that you find in any Chinese restaurant but there was alot of items that was unique that I never had. The food was tasty and the service was great! 2 thumbs up!

Vanna is a very great cashier and when she’s not working at the cash register, she comes over to the table to see if we need anything. I don’t know what they would do without Daniel. He literally runs around the restaurant serving everyone as fast as he can. Anthony, the owner will make special requests for you and there are always generous portions at a reasonable price-there aren’t too many places where you get a whole fish specially stripped bass-my wife and I and family come here three or four times a week highly recommend it
