This place is upscale but had no issue seating my casual dressed family. The waiter was very good, funny and made the kids laugh. I ordered the swordfish with rice pilaf. The chicken croquettes were delicious. We had some salami appetizer also. My wife ordered the royale and kids got chicken tenders and a grilled ham and cheese. Highly recommend this place for a date not small children.

We did not eat here, so I cannot speak on the food. We did have quite a few drinks here the first evening, and we were not impressed with the bourbon/whiskey selection. I had an espresso martini and it was maybe a 1 out of 5. The wine was good however. It definitely seemed short staffed and definitely not as friendly as the actual hotel it’s tied to. This place is super adorable on the inside, I just wish it lived up to that.

Where to begin. This was truly the worst dining experience I’ve ever had in Indianapolis. The service was fine, which is the only reason I’m giving 1 star. I won’t say it was outstanding, but she did make sure we had drinks, ordered within a timely manner, etc. however, she wasn’t concerned at any point with how we were actually enjoying anything, specifically the food. My husband ordered an old fashioned, and I ordered wine, and we felt that our drinks and the appetizer (truffle fries) were the best part of our experience. For our entrees, I ordered the lamb chops and my husband ordered the prime rib (both med rare). Lamb chops were the smallest I’ve ever seen, cooked medium-well, and had more of a “mint cilantro smear”, if you will, instead of the mint pesto. My husband’s prime rib was truly the worst part. Cooked extremely well, dry/grisly texture, not served with the horseradish sauce (which is always served with prime rib). I really wanted to send our food back, especially considering our server never checked back during the meal. Oh, we were also only 1 of 3 tables there the entire night. Yikes, please just don’t go. Save your money. Go literally anywhere else.

My first time visit Spoke & Steele was on Sunday, February 13, 2022 with my girlfriend for an early Valentine’s Day celebration. If I had to sum this visit up, I would say 10 out of 10 recommend.

Fantastic – my wife and I went on June 4, 2023 for dinner. My burger and IPA were excellent, as was my wife’s salad. The waitress was exceptionally good at her job – polite, friendly, not over-bearing or pushy. We honestly can’t think of anything we would change, it was a great time out and if we’re in Indianapolis again, we will definitely come back!!

We decided to pop in for a drink. Unfortunately the decor is the best part. Menu is fine, but the bartender was horrible. Zero personality and rude attitude; we contemplated leaving without ordering but decided to stay for one drink, should have just left. Waitstaff was quiet, bartender seemed to hate her job, and that permeated over the entire place. It was almost empty at 8pm on a Saturday and it should have been packed.

Ate breakfast at the Spoke and Steele while we were in town for a convention. It was GREAT. The food was delicious and Eric was phenomenal. He made sure we had what we needed and came back to check on us repeatedly.

Visiting from out of town and came in at 9am on a Sunday for brunch. We made a reservation but it was fairly empty in the restaurant. They serve Illy coffee and the lattes were good and they were able to use almond milk. The food is definitely overpriced for portion and quality. The charcuterie gravy in the biscuits and gravy was tasty but the biscuit was like an undercooked English muffin. The yogurt parfait was not made the same for two people in our group and was very underwhelming. Service was fine. We wouldn’t visit again.
