Immediately scored high on the ambience meter with live jazz music playing. The service was fast, efficient and friendly. Our food was served quickly. Excellent in-house made pastas and gnocchis. Delicious flavors and seasoned to perfection. Our New York style pizza was also very good. I find Italian places in the US are so hit and miss, but Spumoni’s did not disappoint. Will eat here again on our next trip to Redondo Beach.

We were intending to go to an Irish pub because it was St Patrick’s Day. We failed to find an Irish pub that we liked so we went on looking for other places. Spumoni just happened to be on our view so we decided to turn right towards the parking and promptly got inside the Trattoria.

This place is always a pleasure to go to especially on a Monday while they have their happy hour that is basically 50% off the menu minus alcohol and desserts, I believe. Perfect place for a date night or just a good bite of Italian but be for-warned that the bread basket will always arrive to your table at different times. Some days you might get the bread before you food and most of the time will be after your main course arrives.

This has quickly become one of our favorite dinner spots for my wife and I. In 24 years of living in LA, I can’t think of another Italian restaurant here that I was truly excited to go to like this one. This place has a neighborhood charm without pretense, excellent service, friendly staff, and delicious pasta. The pasta carbonara is the best I’ve ever had, and I recently tried the hand-made gnocchi with wild mushrooms. It was incredible. The cocktails are also really good and generously poured. This place is a neighborhood gem.

Food was delicious. The calamari was tender and not oily for being fried. I ordered the gnocchi cardinale and it was delicious. For desert we got the tiramisu. We didn’t plan to finish it, but before we knew it, it was gone.

Are you been to spumoni at least a handful of times. From ordering takeout to dining in. And the pizza there is pretty good and the pasta there is also pretty good. To me the pasta is missing some salt. This has been consistent a few times that I’ve been there. The pizza is a good New York style pizza. I personally prefer a different kind of pizza better. I like the crispy, send crust pizza that is done in a pizza oven. The salads are also so so. Find it interesting that they put carrots on a salad that probably shouldn’t have any. But that’s my personal opinion. Takeout is just as good as dine in. Overall it’s pretty good. Definitely on the more expensive end
