It was a nice cool refreshing day and we wanted a place with good food and outside dining. We picked Square One as we had been there in the past and it is reliable and consistent in its food. We were pleased and tried items we had not had before such as the Scotch Egg and the Philly sandwich. We were happy with everything and enjoyed a nice evening out.

Good place to relax on a break. The patio wasn’t too warm or too cold. Conversations from other parties didn’t travel. I appreciate how they separate the burgers so it can created by the diner. Salad didn’t have many toppings but it was a side salad. Lots of lettuce and could have been taken home in a doggy bag. Food menu isn’t vast but most people are there to drink.

Loved the outdoor seating. Chairs were super comfortable and the ambiance was romantic and classic. Had the flight of whisky’s and it was reasonably priced ($17 for 4). Around $20 a person for the food. The “famous beer cheese soup” is really good! Outdoor seating was dog friendly and there was a good amount of space indoors as well as a full bar. Beers are seasonal and I’ve been told the maple beer is a favorite. Will have to come back in the fall to try it!

Square One Brewery’s brunch was very good this morning on 4/23. Loved the sausage gravy and biscuits. Would like to see an improvement on the coffee as it was weak/watery. The hostess and waitress went above and beyond to pet my dog and gave him a water bowl. The patio was beautiful and the heat lamp was on so it was lovely to sit outside on a cool sunny day. Customer service here is excellent I will definitely return.

Stopped by a regular spot for me when I’m in the area. Had my usual, the wings. They were awesome as always. Especially since I paired them with the BavarianWeizen . Mmmmmmm good. The only disappointment today was my cup of beer cheese soup. It came out maybe just a little over half full and it took me adding salt to it to bring out the flavor that was hidden..

My friend said this was his favorite brewery in St Louis. It did not disappoint. We stopped in for a quick bite and beer. Best chicken tenders ever. Beautiful little micro brewery. We will be back. Dog friendly outdoor sitting. Tvs to watch the game.

I walked over to carry out a salad for dinner and arrived inside the restaurant at 7:50 pm on a Sunday night & note on door states they are closing at 8:00 pm tonight. Ducked in real quick to no hostess and bartender stating they are closing early. I said I just want to order a carry out and it’s just a quick salad. She went to find hostess & returned at 7:53 to say sorry the kitchen is closed already. Next time they want to close earlier than their stated hours of 9 pm on Sundays they should update their website hours that day and change the sign on the door to CLOSED, not closed at 8:00 pm tonight. When you aren’t accepting simple orders until before your new close time, you”re closed so just say closed on your posted sign. Super inconsiderate and other people were outside meeting their parties in the street throwing their hands up on their plans.

Great spot for happy hour or a dinner and some beer. They do have one of the best props in town if you can get in on a nice day. Located in the charming lafayette square near other fantastic restaurants and fun places to hang out. I hear they have a mean brunch too but have never been lucky enough to try it!

I am from out of town and came here with the family after walking around the botanical gardens. I was worried when they didn’t have a ton of options that were made vegetarian, but I modified a salad and it was truly mind blowing. Rarely am I so impressed with a salad, but it wasn’t just that. Everything we ordered tasted great. They were also able to seat six outdoors on short notice and the ambiance was fantastic. Highly recommend.

the one star is only because the patio is pretty. right out the gate, the hostess was just incredibly rude, not okay to us but several other patrons. then we waited 15 minutes for our waiter to even address us, another 10 for our water to arrive. from the time we ordered our food, we waited another 45 minutes. several tables were sat a half hour after us, and still received all of their food, before we even got our appetizer. ultimately, we ended up paying for the appetizer and asking our waiter to void the rest. he told me it was due to a well done burger, but never have I had a burger take nearly an HOUR; I’d have respected honesty a lot more, had he just admitted he forgot to put in our order. our group is extremely familiar with the service industry, so for me to leave such a sour review, is really out of the norm. we stopped because the reviews were so positive but this was a 1/10 experience
