Server was terrible, we had to keep reminding him to bring things that we ordered, had to ask for refills multiple times, and for $60…no!!! We should have stayed home. Especially bc we allll had instant diarrhea, within and hour after leaving…This USED TO BE an awesome authentic Mexican restaurant…now, I guess it depends on who the cook is.. No Bueno, done eating at this place.

Ohmygosh, to find good Mexican food outside of New Mexico is almost impossible!!! This place is as close as it gets. Try the #25 or #26. You can’t go wrong. The service is amazing, and the atmosphere is laid-back and casual. We love it.

I’m soooo disappointed to have to say this. My husband and I have been a customer here for some time. I’ve noticed some things that concern me. One, my hubby ordered 9 tacos. Instead of them giving him the 3 tacos for the sale price, they rang up 9 individual tacos. Not a huge big deal as it’s only some chump change. BUT. We went there this weekend and we knew our bank account was low, so we had cash to pay with. My husband forgot because we were blabbing and he gave the waiter his bank card and told us it was declined. Of course we laughed because we had cash and knew there wasn’t enough to cover our meal. So we paid him cash and gave him a cash tip. Needless to say, I was really put out to discover he HAD taken what was left out of our bank account, which was only 17 dollars, but still. That was a rotten thing to do. We won’t come here again.

The restaurant was clean & smelled good. The service was good, chips & salsa was nice, but the food wasn’t the best. The Chile rellano wasn’t spicy & was drowning in wetness and nothing tasted seasoned. It just wasn’t the best tasting Mexican food. I would go back for drinks & the scenery, but no more food. My daughter ordered a chicken soft taco that was soggy, plain, with no flavor. The beef had a good flavor that was inside my burrito.

I bet we’ve been to Sr. Jalapeño a dozen times — which is remarkable since they’re an hour and 20 min. from our house in Bridgeville, PA … and we probably pass about 100 other Mexican-style restaurants along the way. Super service! Great food. Never disappointed. FIVE STARS. Can’t wait to return!

Sr Jalapeno never disappoints. It’s a great local Mexican place with a very friendly staff. They have great daily specials and happy hour is from 2-7. Monday and Wednesday they offer $0.99 chicken and beef tacos. Let’s just say I can put away some tacos on Monday and Wednesday. We went on a Tuesday and I got the fajita special which was $4 off making it a great deal at $9.99. We also ordered the Seafood Chipotle. It was also very good. A sort of lighter fare. Like I said, it’s a great local place and we’ll definitely go back again and again.

Went yesterday, the first time since Covid. Like always, the service was fantastic… Friendly and fast. The portions are big but the food was lacking flavor. The guacamole was really good, as well as the pico de gallo. But my beef tacos were really bland and his meal had chicken that was dry and barely any mole sauce… He had to order extra on the side, which of course got charged for. This used to be one of my favorite restaurants, so I will go back in the future to give them another shot. Hopefully they were just having an “off” night.
