Built in 1831 as the Logan Inn, this historic Inn and Saloon became the popular stagecoach stop for passengers traveling west. Logan Inn (now called Broad River Inn) became part of the two major stagecoach lines. The Great Western Stageline (1839 – 1852) and the United States Mail Line (1859 – 1875)
A Stagecoach is so called because it travels in segments or stages of 10 to 15 miles. At a stage stop, usually a coaching Inn, horses would be changed and travellers would have a meal or a drink and the opportunity to stay overnight.
We welcome you to the oldest Saloon in Chimney Rock and invite you to dine with gourmet flatbreads and open faced sandsandwiches while sharing tails of your travels with old and new friends.

Fantastic pizza and salad. Live entertainment was excellent. Everybody was focused on great service from the bartender to the food runner To the waitress. I highly recommend you go there for a meal with you. Visit Chimney Rock or Lake Lure

The staff at Stagecoach are adept at multi-tasking. Checking you in the Band B, getting you clubs for mini golf, slinging drinks at the bar and serving delicious pizza for lunch. We enjoyed our visit and plan to return. Pizza was excellent. We had the Supreme. Also had a couple of signature cocktails that I neglected to not the name of but they were also delicious.

River, Morgan, and Deirdre were totally awesome. I had a wonderful time here. Made me feel at home. Food and service were excellent. I would definitely come back. The chicken pesto hogie was pretty damn good. They have miniature golf and a little historic boutique hotel on the beautiful Broad River, with the Hickory Nut Gorge and mountains in the background. I wish I lived there! Maybe soon!

Stopped in late in the day on a Sunday after spending the afternoon at Chimney Rock. Good selection of wine and beers and the cocktails are great. Got the Fig, Pig and Goat and glad I did – it was delicious. Friendly wait staff and nice atmosphere beside the river.

I’ve traveled most of the country and eaten all types of food. This place has the best pizza I’ve ever had. We were a party of four and all of us agreed! The service was great, laid back, friendly, accommodating & conversational. If I could give more stars I would. Will definitely be back!

My family and I went in to try this place. We ordered 2 pizzas. 2, for a family of 4, thinking it would be more than enough. When they came out, we were shocked at the size. The waitress did not tell us they were pretty much single size serving pizzas. It’s a little ridiculous to charge 16$ for a pizza that will barely feed one person. Something could have been mentioned to us about the size when we ordered, knowing full well, 2 of those would have never worked for 4 people. Kind of deceiving. So 4 drinks, and 2 pizzas that did do anything but make everyone more hungry, cost almost 60$. We usually go to La Strada because their pizzas are priced right and will feed people but unfortunately we forgot they were closed on Tuesday. If you looking to feed a big group, that is hungry, don’t bother going here. We ended up going to grab food on the way home from dinner, that did not satisfy anyone.

We stopped there for a beer to drink while playing putt putt, then we had another beer afterward to cool down. Cool place, cool people serving the beer and food. We did not eat, but I saw people enjoying what they had ordered. If in Chimney Rock again, I will definitely stop at the saloon

Based on reviews we wanted to try this restaurant. We got there around 5:30. The restaurant was fairly empty. We placed our order. After an hour we had to ask the waitress where our food was. She made an excuse about having a small oven and a couple of big parties came in. The parties came in after us. We finally got our food. The food was good but the service and the time it took to get the food was not.

Really enjoyed the food at the Stagecoach during our stay at the Broad River Inn. Really tasty pizzas, salad, and, more. They also have a good selection of beer and wine with several local brews on tap. In good weather, there’s seating outdoors (limited tables). Indoor can be a bit loud when most of the tables are full. Play a round of miniature golf with views of the Broad before or after your meal. Recommended dining if you’re staying at the Inn or just looking for some good food on your visit to Chimney Rock or Lake Lure.

We’re from out of town and not many places to choose from as far as pizza. We ordered two personal Margherita pizzas and a Caesar salad and the salad of the day. It came to $50 which I thought was a little pricey. Pizzas were good size (we could have split as we were not super hungry.) They lacked flavor and were cold. Disappointed.
