So good! This is country Benedict, poached eggs over biscuits with gravy. Outstanding. We have been to this restaurant multiple times and there is usually an issue such as not getting a beverage and having to ask multiple times, but they are always swamped and the food is so good that it makes up for it. Another favorite of mine here is their grits.

First time trying out this restaurant, we were the 1st ones to arrive when they opened at 6 o’clock in the morning on Saturday. Our waitress was quick to come over to see if we needed anything and to get our drink orders started. She was also happy to answer my questions I questions about the different dishes. There is quite a good selection of menu items including a vegetarian menu. Shown here is a savory crepe dish that came with 2 sides, I chose hash browns and grits. My husband ordered the corn beef hash dish. Both of our meals were extraordinarily tasty and we will be happy to return soon to try more!

Fine diner fare, place gets busy but service is prompt and staff is friendly with very reasonable prices. Everything we tried was cooked as ordered and tasty. Portions are on the larger side. The blueberries in the Crepe were the only off note, just not in season and they were tasteless. Coffee was warm at best but it was better then most diners.

So I went with the Ranchers with the choice of Blueberry Muffin! Muffin came out steaming hot and it was good! They do have a few varieties you can choose from! Rachers came with hashbrown which I mixed with some ketchup and it was crisp and just right. The scramble eggs was absolutely delicious as well! The amount of cheese was just right to top it off. Will definetely come again one of these days when I get off after a long day of work!

The food was OK. Crazy that they ran out of tartar sauce on a Friday fish day. Service could have been better. A long-haired male server spent most of his time in the back room and didn’t check on the table very much.

I cannot believe I’ve lived in Elk Grove for 15 years and have never come here. It just didn’t seem like my kind of place. My husband took his Midwestern parents while they were in town (seemed more like their thing), and he promised me I was missing out. We went last weekend and the food was amazing! I don’t eat meat, but there were plenty of veggie options. I had the veggie-potato skillet with cheese and two eggs cooked sunny-side up, and it was incredible. Can’t wait to come back and try the benedict and omelets! The decor is definitely sad and tired, but who really cares about that? The food is delicious!

Service was great. Food was great. I had a Crab Omelette and the kid had hotcakes. I’m hoping that there was a mistake and that a cup of coffee really isn’t $7.90. The coffee is why it isn’t 5 stars.

Delicious and amazing long time establishment in Elk Grove. They have traditional diner food to fun weekend specials. I was a big fan of the chilaquiles and also the Nutella cremes were very tasty and well prepared. Locals and visitors should certainly come here!

Wow! This place is an Elk Grove landmark. The Simpson family has been serving up the best breakfast in Elk Grove for decades. Try the corned beef hash, they make it in house and it’s served with eggs, hash browns or country potatoes and toast, grits, biscuit or fresh fruit! Amazing! The service is top notch always. Stop by and try this place, you’ll be a regular for sure.

Been here a few times, the cooks are amazing. Customer service is great. Great place to meet n eat. It’s old inside! Reminds me of 1970s diner. Without the cigarette smoke and Robert Reynolds mustaches.
