After fasting for 15 hours and taking lab tests at the JBSA Randolph Clinic, Starbucks dark roasted coffee and heated Almond Croissant tasted much better yesterday morning. Usually drop in to Starbucks when shopping at the Base Exchange, getting a haircut or picking up prescriptions in the BX complex. Not particularly fond of their pastries/sweets; however, think their croissants are flaky and extremely good. Not snobbish or a connoisseur of coffees or lattes, prefer dark roasted strong coffees to satisfy my daily caffeine intake. Drinking 16 cups a day at Starbucks would bankrupt me. Do not expect fast service because of the nature of their business: Starbucks makes one pod or cup of coffee at a time & heats many of their pastries and croissants. You stand & wait your turn. Server was friendly and businesslike.w

Friendly staff, very hard working.. this is the only starbucks on base, so the whole base converges here. Too bad this site is attached to the BX/PX and not a stand-alone building with a drive thru. Would get a drink here again.

Went there today, Randolph AFB location at the BX. I left without coffee. I was trying to read the label on a topping container sitting at the end of the pick up counter. One of the employees, male, jumped down my throat , talking to me like I am 3 years old… ” don’t touch that!” and pushed the containers to the far right turning the bottles to cover the labels. After I reassured him I knew they weren’t for resale and I only wanted to read the name of the topping, he barked at me again…” don’t touch them…I don’t want you to touch touch them…at all”….as I said…what am I? 3? I am a grown woman, 56 years old, mother to 2 Veterans wife to a Veteran. They work on a Mitary installation serving Active Duty Military, Veterans of all

The customer service here is upsetting. The last two times I’ve been here (including today) I’ve had to deal with the same problems: long wait times, getting the wrong drink, and employees talking instead of making my drink. It’s also upsetting how both times they decided to make the drinks of multiple people who ordered after me before even starting mine. The drink I ordered, a pink drink, was not a complicated one, but I still had to stand there waiting as they talked amongst themselves and to other base employees. When they finally gave me my drink it was wrong as I had asked for no ice. What made it even more upsetting was that I had just seen them complete a complicated order where the lady wanted 3 pumps of this and 3 shots of that, so it just didn’t make sense how they’d be that careless with my drink. I love Starbucks but if you want the drink you paid for then you should go to a different location. If they can get such a small detail like “no ice” wrong then imagine what else they’ll get wrong.

2 stars because Starbucks at AAFES doesn’t allow you to use points and money from your cards at the same time, nor do they allow you to scan your rewards card more than once per transaction. I had to pay some money out of pocket when my points should have covered the drink. And immediately after I left, I received a threatening email from Starbucks, warning me of losing points if they aren’t used by 8/1/2021! Service and drink were good.
